From the producers of True Detective, Mr. Robot follows Elliot, a young and brilliant programmer who has perfected the art of computer hacking. Elliot suffers from a debilitating anti-social disorder, making hacking into peoples’ lives his only means of human connection. He wields his skills as a weapon to protect the people he cares about from those who are trying to hurt them. Ultimately, he finds himself at the intersection between his day job at a cybersecurity firm and "F-Society," an underground hacking collective that is trying to recruit Elliot to help take down the “one-percent."

Blu-Ray version available for £9.38, which is sold by Amazon, but dispatched within 8 to 11 days.

Why would you buy this if you have Prime?! It's free on Prime Video!

Some people like having physical copies. Simple.

Trailblazing first season. Truly nothing like it either before or after. So far the second season has continued and expanded the narrative. fsociety.

If you have Prime, watch before buying (if you can, as with anything).

First few episodes are good, it then becomes highly predictable after ep4. :( wouldn't buy it.
(that's just my opinion though)

**Spoiler alert**

Did anyone get the weird ALF reference in the second series? Nearly a shark jump moment for me...

Sailed very close to the wind with the whole 80's sitcom pastiche.

Don't understand it....someone knocks on the door in last episode of 1st season but no reference in 2nd season.

Thats gotta be the trolliest question! I'll take it in the spirit I am sure it was asked. :p
It's a tough call, I watch it to fill the void of Blacklist, Elementary, Arrow, Dark Matter etc. The concept is interesting, but after you remove the inner dialogue "stuff" there really isn't anything there to watch. I certainly wouldn't pay for the box set, then again I rarely buy box sets...
Obviously individual mileage may vary.

I wouldn't recommend it. Season 2 is dragging, have it on as background noise

That's probably the best way to sell it!

PoI - I guess I haven't watched it because the main character is played by the same actor from Lost - and I still haven't got over that!

great first episode, but didn't quite live up to its potential after that.

could have been a trenchent critique of modern techno-society, but instead chooses to focus on the drug-taking and personality disorders of the protagonist and cheap cliff-hangers instead.

disappointing to be honest.

Same here. I liked the first episode. After that, it went downhill....fast.

For anyone wondering this is basically Fight Club with hackers.
#27
Series 2 they completely lost the plot, and the twist did they really think that was not going to **** off the audience? I feel the series has 'jumped the shark' already. Series 1 was excellent, Series 1 was The Matrix, Series 2 is The Matrix Reloaded, waffly incoherent psychobabble and has no clue how to capitalise and build from its predecessor.

Rami Malek has never been in a single episode of Lost.

I know this is HotUKDeals - I meant Michael Emerson in PoI was in Lost, I still can't get over what Lost did to me so I don't watch PoI as Michael Emerson reminds of Lost. oO
I watched a few more episodes since my last post and it really is just something to play in the background :(

Ah ok i understand a bit better what you mean now but after watching LOST it taught me to watch television in a whole different way trying to lookout for all the easter eggs etc

Pretentious rubbish..... I say this as a huge fan after the first 6 episodes but after that this show went far up it's own ass! Disappointing waste of an interesting premise.

I got the majority of references and then discovered they were deliberate and not supposed to be subtle http://nerdist.com/stranger-things-visual-references-supercut/

I liked the start but now it feels like a show about mental health than hacking.

Still worth a watch for free though

I don't think so at all; especially since half of FSociety have reneged on their anarchic ambitions because they believe they have made society worse.

I think the show is excellent and they have handled a fairly technical subject matter without becoming a satirical Sneakers / Hackers clone.
