A host of collaborators joins DJ Andy Carthy (better known as Mr. Scruff) for 'Ninja Tuna', the fourth album in his canon. With a pinch of his customary homespun sense of humour and love of all things soulful and jazzy, Carthy blends his tunes across a range of soundworlds, encompassing funk and light electronica. Guests include the likes of British hip-hop legend Roots Manuva, Alice Russell and Will Holland of the Quantic Soul Orchestra. 'Ninja Tuna' is the first record to be released on a collaborative label of the same name that sees Mr. Scruff and the Ninja Tune label working together closer than ever.

Tempted to buy this for the cool USB alone. Only problem is, I've never heard of Mr Scruff (Gosh I'm feeling old now!)

its a sort of jazzy, funky, hip hop type ting!
He uses loads of samples from old records and mashes them together to make a nice funky groove :thumbsup:
and its NOT like jive bunny

If you've ever watched "The Real Hustle" on BBC, you know the "we gave 'em their money back afterwards" program then you have heard Mr Scruff as they often use a few of his tracks as backgorund music, from an earlier album....

Yes he's vey good, saw him in Cambridge about 3 months ago or so.....:thumbsup:
