Wouldn't read to much into the "military class" sales pitch; I'm in the military and the PC on my desk is ****...

I really want to try this MB, i have an AMD Phenom II X3 720BE, one of the CPUs known to commonly use an X4 CPU with a locked 4th core, this could turn my CPU into a quad core, but I've no way of knowing whether my CPU is indeed one of the ones that have the locked 4th core... Can't warrant the money on the off chance :(

No e-SATA? That is odd, since e-SATA is (at least for now) more useful than USB3.0.

Damn that's hot, Sata 6gb/s and USB 3.0 for 69 quid?
HOT HOT.

Excuse my ignorance, but can't you connect an eSATA connection on your case to a standard SATA connector on your motherboard?

there is a msi 880g mobo for £48 on ebuyer... 880g chipset and its matx

Ah well - British Army is only held in high regard by 90% of the British people.
Sadly the 10% - own-pockets filling government corrupts and unelected middle class politically correct self-serving vermin DON'T. (sorry - rant over. Touched a sore point)

Doesn't have anything at all to do with this thread though does it? I'm not at all interested in your opinion about something completely unrelated to this deal. If you want to voice your opinion about Politics and the British Army go do it in a forum related to the subject, not in a thread about a motherboard deal. I'd rather Religion, Politics and DailyMail mentality pollution was kept out of these threads. I can wish though it'll never happen.

Anyway back on topic, this is a decent deal.

Yes you can with something such as this >

StarTech.com 2 Port SATA to eSATA Slot Plate Bracket Serial ATA internal to external panel - 2 x 7 pin Serial ATA - 2 x 7 pin external Serial ATA - 30 cm - PC

About £3 or less

Mmmm... if your encoding video or heavy photo shopping then you'll see the benefit in the 1055t. The x4 955 is a faster processor but the performance between the two is negligible. Id recommend the 955 and spend the extra money on something else :P

it doesn't have the all important SB850 southbridge with sata 6gb/s tho! or it doesnt ave usb 3.0 and its matx and it doesnt have 2 pcie x16 length slots or it doesnt have optical spdif out. get the point yet? you usually get what you pay for in a motherboard, but certain motherboards (like this one) give u lots for your money :)
