MSI Cubi - i3-7100U/4GB RAM/32GB SSD/Win 10 - £179.15 @ Ebuyer

£179.15 @ Ebuyer
Great price for an i3 7th Gen CPU, anyone looking at a NUC or a Brix can see that an i3 barebone is about £100 more expensive. RAM and SSD sizes aren't great but you can't fault it for the price. Read More

Would this be capable of playing back 2160P video content?
If not, does anyone know what the minimum requirement is?

The inbuilt GPU can display 4K and the CPU is relatively powerful for such a low powered device so I would think it would. You may want to read this http://www.myce.com/news/hands-netflix-4k-streaming-windows-10-pc-80976/

"Heise also tested 4K streaming on a Mini PC Asrock Beebox-S that is powered by a laptop class Core i3-7100U (with an integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 video chip). After a while Netflix switched to the 4K resolution as indicated by the A/V stats which can be revealed by pressing CTRL+ALT+SHIFT + D. During playback of the 4K-compatible re-release of the Gilmore Girls, “res” displayed with the value of “3840 × 2160″."

Pretty sure this is supposed to be a Intel Celeron 3215U not an i3 with that part number - that price for an i3 mini PC all ready to run is probably too good to be true.

This has the celeron.

Agreed - a quick bit of googling finds that model number listed on various sites as a 1.7ghz Celeron - all priced around £180

yes the original Cubi is from 2015 and is end of life. No way can it have a kaby lake 7th gen processor. looks like they have jumbled up the details of the cubi 2 with this one.

Looks like you're right, I'll expire this. Although its not a bad deal for a Celeron 3125U compared to the ASUS and ACER units listed on ebuyer.
