cool. cheers mate
Can you buy online and collect in-store?
I'm looking but can't find any info at the moment.
Buy online and delivery is £7.50 :-(
Well I just gave the London store a call, apparently they have loads in stock and are expecting more tomorrow, so looks like it'll have to be a trot to the shop.
Would have liked the extra 2% back through QuidCo, but doesn't look like you can.
Worth looking over the reviews on the site, some not too favourable. Some helpful, pointing out the install instructions are in the wrong order in the manual.
is this a freeview card ? as it says high definition ready
No it's not a Freeview card, just a analogue card and it's not HD ready in a HDCP sense.
I looked at some reviews of this and the slightly higher specced 5600 Ultra and it's not really better than the Ti4200 range. I don't really need the 'Personal Cinema' extras so I've decided to give this one a miss.
I have read that the ATI 9500 is a superior performer to both those 2 cards and I found this Sapphire 9550 SE:
For just £28.60. It's not a bad deal if like me you are stuck with just an AGP socket for now but are looking for a short term power boost for a small outlay.
The GeForceFX series were all comparatively poor performers due to their DX9 implementation.

If you were buying this card it would be for the personal cinema package which was an attempt to compete with ATI's successful All in Wonder Radeons but the Nvidia equivalent never really took off at the time.

Thanks coalfield
I was wrong about the store collection thing. I meant you can buy from store... but not reserve online. I had a look on MSI's website and found some info on the card....

They only charge £4.50 for small items. I bought a MSI graphics card a few months ago and that was how much I was charged.
