As much as MSI have some great gear, their customer service is among some of the worst I have ever experienced. Google "MSI GT MXM upgrade" to read about how they screwed over their premium gaming notebook buying customers. I haven't voted either way on this deal.

£4.50 makes a hell of a difference apparently. The deal posted yesterday at £199.99 is stuck in the freezer with the Yorkshires.

There's not much point buying one of these either, the 6GB is the only 1060 to buy :{

I'm waiting on the XFX 480 GTR 8gb to show up on hot deals ..... #Ticktock. Hoping the boxing day sales may trigger some discount

Either get a an RX 480 4GB at this price point or spend a little more on the proper 1060 or even the 8GB 480. Theyre on par in terms of performance now a days.

The funny thing is unless you can collect from the bolton store postage is £4.79 on this card making it more expensive lol....

as for this card vs the 6gb, I think this one is fine considering its 20% cheaper, and FPS rate is so close like 1 fps in most situations.

I think you'll be surprised how many 3GB models are sold. They're way better value for money, even if "less future proof"

I am in the process of building a new PC and went for this card - for now...

Corsair 450d case
Gigabyte GA-Z170X ultra gaming
4 x 8gb 3000Mhz Corsair LED ram
i7 6700k
Corsair H100i V2 CPU cooler
EVGA 650watt G2 Modular PSU
Samsung Evo 850 500gb SSD
Logitech G29 wheel/Shifter
G402 mouse

And this card, massively under spec of the rest of the system, But with the AOC 27" 144hz 1080p Monitor for £215 (bought that too) this should make for some awesome 1080p gaming for now and a easy upgrade in the future, I am a bit reluctant to spend £650 for the GTX 1080 when the 1080ti is round the corner and Volta in the not to distant future too. The 1070 Would have been the logical compromise but at double the price of this card and with the whole Micron/Samsung GDDR5 lottery I did not fancy that neither.

Until now I am only used to games on the xbox one. For me this is a "make do with" card until I either see better deals on the 1080 or wait for volta and wait for the price of 1440p/4k monitors to come down to a more reasonable level, then this card can be used in a secondary system at the other halfs.

dont get me wrong i could understand if they were in the £150 mark, they just seem well over priced. But then again all the new Gen cards seem to be. I went for a 4gb 480 for £200, the 8gb version is in the region of £65 more expensive yet there is little to no difference in performance. id still maintain 3gb isnt quite enough and i think nvidia are just mugging people off with the price because they knew they would sell.
