I heard a rumour that msi 1070's were being called back due to being faulty
#3
Think that recall is affecting china due to some bad stock of memory chips used

I think the import fees would kill it too, right?

Some cards use the micron memory chips and the problems are reportedly coming from them. However some users also have the same card but with Samsung memory chips.

I have a MSI 1080 OC, and it has worked without problems since I got it. Just checked and it has Micron memory chips.

I've even overclocked it more, without issues.

I am swapping it out for a MSI Gaming Z in a week, but not because of any problems with the current card.

Are you RMAing that first 1080 OC?

Not quite. I originally had a Gaming X, but it was faulty, so I was sent a placeholder MSI 1080 OC card.

I then upgraded the replacement to the Gaming Z card, so will swap it back for that.
