For the price this is the best gaming laptop out there. Granted, a gaming pc is cheaper, but then sometimes you really do want portability! It has a 2 year warranty with MSI. Doesnt say on this website, but other sites state the package as a gaming mouse and laptop backpack included too.

There is a quad core 2ghz available for around £1280. And advent have a rebadged version called 6555. This is quad core with smaller HDD and is not overclockable. But still has the HD 4850

The overclocking can only be used on the mains. Makes the 2.53 almost 2.9ghz. and the HD 4850 is practically the best single processor GPU out there for laptops at the moment! When you think this machine has been hitting over 11000 3dmark06 scores and almost 6000 on 3dvantage, its no slouch!

I've even seen it run crysis warhead on FULL at over 20 fps!
i'll be suprised if this lasts more than 1.5 hours on battery
Why are people voting cold ad not saying why???? Excellent spec laptop for the money
Very nice :)
£1100 for a laptop u must have money waste
if you're voting cold because its £1100, then you have no idea what a beast this is! Laptops at £300 are great for websurfing, but try running a game on it!

Also, comes with 9 cell battery, so battery life is around 1.5 hours on full. you CAN stick it on eco mode and get almost 5 hours out of it tho too!

Not fussed, as i know the naive will vote cold. just hoping that someone out there realises they dont need to spend £2k on an alienware!
Voted HOT!

Must control urge to buy...:)

Don't worry, there's a trend on here to vote cold because these people don't fancy a particular product, pure madness.

Don't forget about 2% Quidco.
Any warranty information ,This is an expensive item to throw away after 12 months if it develops a fault,
2 year MSI warranty. Great if it has bluray too! just wasnt sure about buying from lambda-tek.

Skykid, ALSO resisting urge.... My XPS M1710 is out of warranty in december and its 3 years old now.. fancy a new one...

bcos of that link im voting this cold.
2.5 hours+ battery, cos it uses Intel's 25w P series CPU.

This is the UK version, which means screen res is merely 1680x1050. Display quality is average, not great for watching videos on, it also doesn't have full HD.

I'd really expect [email protected] rpm, as well as a second HDD slot for a laptop of this price.
Can't believe this got voted cold, for the spec this is THE BEST value gaming laptop around at the moment, Turbo mode is pretty nice too, so you effectively get a 2.9GHZ C2D when plugged in.

I'm struggling to find this model in stock anywhere at the moment, there is another model with a Q9000 Quad Core and Full HD screen but I'm trying to get the P9500 version :(.
Can't understand why anyone would want to play games on a laptop? Maybe it's just that I have only ever played Football Manager and Sid Meier games on PC....I can't get my head round why you would want to play them on laptop?

Unless laptops have moved on since I last had one (1997) ???
