Cheapest I've seen this version of the GTX1080 anywhere in the UK.

This card has a custom PCB offering 1X 8pin & 1X 6pin power connectors so potentially higher overclocks with more power consumption available than the founders card.

I know it's not as cheap as the KFA2 £525 reference style 1080 listed here: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kfa2-geforce-gtx-1080-reference-blower-8192mb-gddr5x-pci-express-graphics-card-80nsj6dhk5vk-gx-087-kf.html but offers a nicer design, more reputable manufacturer, better cooling and an extra 6pin connector.

People saying these cards are over priced.. Founders card in America is $699 which is around £490. Add 20% for import VAT and you have £588 this is excluding postage. These cards are also the same price as a 980Ti so I don't really see the commotion, enthusiasts are who these cards are aimed at and tbf it's not a shockingly bad price for what's on offer here if you look at it that way..

That's true, however the £500 vendors MSRP was a base line and obviously manufacturers will charge more for the better PCB and coolers, as I've mentioned there is a KFA2 card available for £524.99 but it's only a single 8-pin and has no back plate plus looks ugly, I agree that £500+ is a lot to drop a single component but for the people wanting to I think this card is probably one of the best deals right now.

the reason they are priced like this is because AMD are slow off the ground. AMD reveal their interim card next week, with their proper cards coming by xmas/january. Nvidia are as scammy as the EU.

As an Acer X34 user this card is pretty much a requirement for the resolution I like to play games at, as I said previously, it's more an enthusiasts card

The 1070 can easily out perform the 980 Ti. With both overclocked to the max I'm sure the 1070 will win. For less than it.

And with time Pascal will continue to get driver optimisations while Maxwell gets left behind so the difference will only grow larger.
