Very nice machine for a decent price but two things:

1) Haven't been able to find stock in ANY store for five different postcodes (north London, west London, Swindon, Leamington, Aberystwyth) and out of stock for home delivery. I'm starting to suspect this deal doesn't really exist sadly.

2) Even though it's a good price.... I'd still wait if you're thinking of buying a netbook. New processors and chipsets are due out in the first few weeks of 2010 which should bring better performance (especially with HD video) and better battery life (as well, hopefully, as integrating some of the design lessons learnt from the first generation of Atom-powered Netbooks).

A guy I work with got this from Argos at the same price a few weeks ago and when I checked they had plenty of stock in the stores around me but instead I spent a few more quid and got a netbook with a upto 10.5 hour battery life rather than the upto 3.5 hour these things come with. Spend the extra £50 on Amazon and get the Asus 1005ha with the better n280 CPU, the N wireless and the MUCH beter battery. I didn't regret it!

Excellent little netbook. Bought one of these a couple of months ago from Argos and very pleased with it.
Webcam is a nice feature and even includes some webcam controlled games which is a new thing for me!

Well built and feels sturdy - I got the pink one but the white one looks a bit like a apple mac type if you like that look.

Recommended if you are looking for one of these for xmas.

where do you get the 2 year warranty info from ?

we bought 3 of these a few weeks ago and they only came with 1 year warranty

From MSI website:

Notebooks:
Type:C&R
MSI UK Notebooks carry two year*** global, direct, manufacturer warranty for all customers (direct, non direct/end users).
With non direct customers/end users MSI UK acts as a repair centre only. (So this would be the case for those purchased from Argos).
http://support.msicomputer.co.uk/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=4 (link to MSI site where I got info from)

I contacted MSI and they said you need to keep the receipt as this is your proof of warranty.

Hope that helps

1) There are 18 stores within a 50 mile radius of me and the item can be reserved for collection at all of them

2) I would imagine that is why this model has been reduced to £200. The new models will be way more money.

bought one of these last time deal was posted, its not bad for the money seeing as you get the warranty and the case.
I was doing some research and there is also an offical bios update which is manufacture backed which allows you to overclock the CPU, havent tried it yet but its another little add on (only will work when plugged in at the mains though)
Only little grievance I have with it would be the res of the screen, sometimes if you have a window open it can look unusual and cut corners off etc, not a massive problem just a slight issue.

I've ordered the U130 from Argos which at £230 seems a better deal to me as it uses the newer N450 processor - being delivered tomorrow.

What does " hackintoshed it " mean ?

Means to run OS X on it even though it is not Apple hardware.
