does this come with a 1 or 2 year warranty as you can buy the same 120gb hard drive model from cclonline with a 2 year warranty and a slip case for £5 more and if this one only comes with a 1 year warranty then i would say it is a better deal from cclonline
#2
The Samsung NC10 is so much better for similar money, only a fool would go for this.

By default, the Wind comes with a 2-year local warranty and a 1-year global warranty and also come supplied with a slip case regardless of where they are bought from.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about, get me a NC10 for £259 and i'll have 10.
This thread isn't about an NC10 it's about a MSI Wind.
I own both and as it happens im typing this from an NC10 but so what, who cares?

I wouldn't call £30 more as similar money

Any one know the battery life on this
#6
from a amazon review
The only gripe I have about the MSI Wind is the battery life with the 3 cell battery is just about 2 hours. You can probably get 2 1/2 hours by setting the processor to Economy mode which will reduce the speed of the CPU from 1.6Ghz to 900Mhz. If you compare this with the Samsung NC-10 for example, which has a 6 cell battery and can last 5-6 hours away from the plug, then you can understand where I'm coming from.

they have 1 black one in stock for £279
http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-Netbook-Black-Webcam-Bluetooth/dp/B001G3GYEG/ref=pd_cp_ce_2?pf_rd_p=136153791&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001GCTSX6&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0GF3W5Z08XFAVK8KSKNA
i would also like to vote for the Samsung NC10 ( cant afford either yet)

so does anyone know if this ships with the 3 cell or 6 cell battery as i know the ones on cclonine are shipping with 6 cell batteries and if these are only 3 cells then i personally would rather pay £5 more and get a 6 cell
#8
The ones from ccl DO NOT come with a 6 cell.
If you buy the one thats over £300 from CCL then that does come with the 6 cell.
These are exactly the same as the ones from CCL and you get exactly the same as you would get from CCL except they're cheaper and you also have a nice option of 3 x interest free payments.
Ohh and the shipping is £3 cheaper than CCL :)

Well said. Heat added - good price with some good payment options if people need them, and quidco too. Good deal.

You're not making a lot of sense.

He's making perfect sense. Post the NC10 for £259 and your original point is valid, otherwise it's irrelevant. And to show he has no bias, he owns both devices. Simple really.

£30 or so difference is FAR from similar. £35 is hardly similar to £5, in the same way that £295 is not similar to £259.

Anyone who is making that sort of investment and thinks it wise to save thirty quid and settle for such an inferior product is welcome to do so.
I would consider them a numpty.

It's not such an inferior product at all, people who make that statement i would definitely consider them to be a numpty or a clueless fan-boy of the item they promote.
The innards and performance are basically the same as each other, The build quality is slightly better on the NC10 but the build quality on the Wind is still good.
Please tell us factually why the MSI Wind is such an inferior product than the NC10.

One word, battery.

LMFAO :D , so the NC10 is a far superior machine because of the battery? Get a grip!
Some people don't need a more powerfull battery.
So realy what you should be saying is that the battery that comes with the Wind is inferior to the NC10, rather than the machine itself?

Have you read your own previous posts in which you stated the NC10 is better built?

I have, which i have said in this thread and others as well, but don't take that as the Wind has a poor build quality because it hasn't.
The Wind is a netbook that should not be disregarded and should definitely not be labeled as inferior as you have done especially based on one word "battery." After all, if it was that bad there wouldn't be any companys putting their own name on it would there?
Have you actually used either of them or are you basing your opinions on what you have heard?
When i say used either of them i mean done more than pop into a PC World or the likes and press a few keys, lift the lid up and down and rub the mouse.
But hey, you know best as im just one of the millions of numpties that bought an MSI Wind, Advent 4211, Medion Akoya Mini, RoverBook Neo U100, MyBook M11, Mivvy M310, Tsunami Moover T10, Casper Minibook, Datron Mobee N011, CMS ICBook M1, HCL MiLeap MH 04, Axioo Pico, Averatec Netbook, Mouse LuvBook U100, Portátil Beep Iridium U10, Ahtec LUG N011, Sylvania MAGNI Netbook, Multirama HT Xpress Book, Positivo Mobo White, NTT Corrino 101I, Aristo Pico i300, Nuevo Visa Clip :)

We have a number of both types in the family, this is being typed on an Advent 4211 purchased on the day of release.
You haven't really got an argument and are sounding a bit childish.

We will have to agree to disagree on this one then.
Next time you should think about what your posting before making ridiculous statements and calling people fools or numpties for buying something.

Please stop writing rubbish.

I'm the one posting facts, it's you that is posting rubbish.

I suggest you don't post in this thread anymore unless you have something constructive to say or find a better price on a MSI Wind.
