£30 cheaper at Cdiscount (£239):
http://www.cdiscount.co.uk/Computing/netbooks/allnetbooks/msi-wind-u100-netbook---black-120gb/f-1090-179194.html

Also - a MSI is good netbook but now far superceded by several others, including the superb Samsung models. they cost more but are well worth it.

that is the 3cell model with only 120gb hard drive. The samsung models aren't that much better. They have practically the same specs....I dont actually see the attraction of samsung. Maybe if they were cheaper

Samsung are made with quality, and have superior battery length, and in argos the NC10 is only £10 more than the msi wind...
#4
why would you say the nc10 is better then? Because I know the build quality of the MSI is excellent

I've owned both MSI and Samsung laptops and they were of very comparable quality. The only difference was the MSI had a two year warranty, the Samsung was one.

I wouldn't class samsung netbooks as best quality, better than acer sure but nothing special. I would choose this over an NC10 personally but mainly because I have had one before it was great and just not a fan of samsung gear.

Hi,can someone please tell me if this is a better buy or not compared to the MSI ?.

Asus EEEPC 904HA at £249.99p

PC pro thinks the Samsung N110 is the best netbook out there. Check out: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/252837. I think the MSI Wind was considered highly some time ago but the specs have not kept up with the competition - perhaps they will catch up with their newer (and more expensive) model when it comes to market. I certainly rate the Samsung N110 - fantastic little machine with a genuine 9 hour battery life. And a built in camera. Apparently the Samsung NC10 is nearly as good and is around £50 less. - around £260.00 at Currys, I recall. The other machine to look for is the Asus 1008HA. The MSI model is not in the same league - nice though the machine is.
