On my U135 DX now. Got the white one a few days back - have absolutely no issues with it what so ever.. my only tiny gripe if i were to be completely critical is the sesitive mouse touch pad - but it's no huge issue as this is my first netbook / laptop, and i'm not so used to it.

It's a fast little netbook and had a battery life of around 5 hours (6 cell version) with moderate usage of youtube, 4od, iplayer, installing programs and using a variety of them to set it up to be as efficient as possible. I got this netbook for the purpose of writing a novel alongside watching TV and browsing the web / using skype and messenger, which will do all of these very well.

It's important to note that the listing when I got mine stated that it was a U135 - but I recieved the U135DX, which if anything is a small bonus.

I'm 90% sure the netbook I recieved was brand new rather than refurbished - I ordered the white cased netbook and saw absolutely no marks, scratches or dirt at all. The box was slightly scruffy - but the plastic wrapping / packaging was MSI-branded and had no software installed other than the bog standard you get on any new computer. I guess it is a little bit of a lucky dip as to what you will get, though - whether it is being sold because of scruffy boxing, a genuine fault which was rectified, excess stock, ex-display model, etc, etc. It could even be something small as with a faulty power connector or battery which had to be replaced.

I'd recommend using VLCPlayer as a media player, which is free to download, as Windows Media Player can be a tad memory-hungry.

Malwarebytes is always useful for anti-malware, and is free too.

Most useful free software would be OpenOffice, as you only get a trial of Microsoft Office 2007 on the netbook.

Avira / AVG / Avast! are all good, free anti virus programmes to consider.

Got mine today - as Kellerman said it's the U135DX with Atom N455 and DDR3.
Seems new and unused as well.

Also got mine today, as above, I can confirm-

UK edition U135DX
Atom N455
1GB DDR3 RAM
6cell / 7hour battery.
XP Home

The box still has the old catalogue number on it- 508/4296. Which is this item- http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002701&langId=-1&searchTerms=5084296

Don't know how well it works, but from appearances its a very good reconditioning, it looks new! If it works okay.... BARGAIN. :)

Did anyone try do add more RAM to it?
The sticker on it says it's DDR3, but both Speccy and CPU-Z says it's DDR2.
I've just opened the case to check what it is, but the RAM is soldered in and the RAM slot is empty. So I'm still not sure which one should I buy.

Can someone help please?

Just received mine today
Absolutely brilliant deal
Lovely little machine in 'as new' condition (tatty box)
Perfect for internet, email, office suite, You-Tube and the such
Do not buy this if you plan on playing modern 3D games. The lack of an optical drive is one inhibitor, but the graphics and processor are not up to the job (nor are they on any netbook).
Confirmed as a 6 cell battery too (up to 7 hours in eco mode in theory)
For £133, this is a stonkin package - recommended!

Hi,

Can i ask what the issue was with your screen. We got one of these 2 months ago and now the screen went all fuzzy and anything white on the screen shows pink. Have tried a factory reset etc but still got the issue and even in the Bios we get this problem.
