why do people still post these? they are terrible!

Awful, don't waste your money, they offer next to no protection.
#3
Any recommendations thx

Dhb shorts are usually a good price from wiggle. A fair bit more (£25) but go for bib shorts, and they will be so much comfier.

Just fancy a set of the indoor bike. Out on the mountain bike im fine even if its for 8 hours but 40 mins on the exercise bike is hard work on the rump :-)

Tempted - same price instore?

Could some one explain what's wrong with these? I've been cycling my road bike for a few months now, I use a cheap set of Un padded shorts. They work pretty well for me.

these served me well for my first year, bought some pearl izumi bib shorts now I've got the cycling bug.
can't say these are great but if you're on a really tight budget they will do.

Rubbish quality. Lidl ones are much better.
#11
Poor quality. Stitching fell apart after one wear. Returned to store and...no cash refund...gift card

They aren't bad, they are comfier than not wearing them, but once you switch to something decent like Dhb or similar, if is like night and day. Much better gel padding, really smooth seams, the fabric stretches more comfortably and allows easier freedom of movement. Plus these don't Wick the sweat as away as well.

Don't get me wrong, if you are starting out or on a budget then these as OK. But if you have the money or are going to be riding a lot then so worth spending a little more and having something you will really enjoy wearing and using. The padding on my current shorts means I can ride a fully carbon saddle that has no padding of it's own.

I'm going to order some and give them a try, they can't be worse than the none padded ones I've been using. Still early days for me riding but I know I love it. Just don't want to spend loads straight away.
