Don't rep beg!

Not sure if it can be had for less elsewhere, but pretty sure you can get a better bike for the money - personal opinion of course.
Old enough to remember the glory days of the late 80s when Muddy Fox were the dogs nuts of mountain bikes, then they went the way of catalogue companies and produced cheap fodder.
£300 at most places on line
I guess it's old news that the Muddy Fox brand was aquired by Universal cycles back in 2001 but for those that missed it:-

Universal Cycles Plc has acquired everything associated with Muddy Fox Ltd including the Muddy Fox and Silver Fox cycle brands, and Big Foot and Fred Salmon accessory brands.

Back in the 80's I rode a Courier & only got rid of it about a year ago :?

Im looking for a large mens bike Hybrid like at the moment, but I have been riding a folder for years now and dont have the foggiest what a good bike is.
Any suggestions on review sites or information on various models that are Worthy. So far I have read nothing but contempt for Halfords and a lot of confusing info for the technical bike enthusiasts. I want a commuter and weekend roamer but looks cool and is easier on the pedals than my multi scalped folder.
By the way this looks like a nice bike to me, but Im a duffer :)
