2006's hugely successful 'Black Holes & Revelations' catapulted Muse onto the international stage and confirmed them as one of the biggest stadium acts in the world. 'The Resistance', their first album in 3 years, is another shift in sound for Muse, who have been continuously evolving throughout their career. Combined with the usual 'space-rock' sound that Muse have made their own, the influence of acts as diverse as Queen, Billy Idol and Blondie can be heard on the album's first single, 'Uprising', alone.
1. Uprising
2. Resistance
3. Undisclosed Desires
4. United States Of Eurasia (+Collateral Damage)
5. Guiding Light
6. Unnatural Selection
7. Mk Ultra
8. I Belong To You (+Mon Coeur S'ouvre A Ta Voix)
9. Exogenesis : Symphony Part I (Overture)
10. Exogenesis : Symphony Part II (Cross Pollination)
11. Exogenesis : Symphony Part III (Redemption)

Great price for one of the best albus of 2009
#2
shame it was a pants album
#3
Cold from me, as its an awful awful album.

You'd have to pay me a ridiculous amount of money to make me listen to it again. If you havent heard it yet and you like their old stuff, then you wont like this.

Its basically a bad impression of a white man singing R'n'B crap.

You are so very very wrong. There is ONE song which is RnB inspired, that's it! And OoS is my favourite album of all time yet I like this almost as much.

Complete rubbish.

You're blatantly only talking about the song they've just released (track 3, which is actually the only one on the album I'm not keen on). If you've heard the rest of the album you'll know you are talking utter poo. A quality album and must be in the top 5 of 2009.

And for an album that has only been out a few months it's a cracking price; just because I dislike a band doesn't mean I'd rate a good deal cold. I'd just let those who are interested rate whether it's a good deal or not.

One says "sounds the same" other says "souunds different"
Personally, I reckon it's a shift but if you like Muse and don't want to hear "Bliss" etc again and again then it's a cracking album

crap album imo
decent price for those that like it!

You like The Killers, your opinion is void.
#15
Have to say imho, that this album was a great let down. I love all there other albums, but this I'm afraid could very well have gone the way of Radiohead, and up there own artistic ar**s!
#16
Great album, great price. Hot from me.

Listening to the masterful Exogenesis: Symphony Part 1 as I write this.

that is an awesome quote, matt bellamy is so talented not saying brandon flowers isnt but my heck he sure loves himself. album of the year for me, didnt like it at first but the more you listen to it the more you start to appreciate it, a slight shift from their old stuff but they can get away with it, couple songs do sound like queen. a brilliant album, those who think it's crap have listened to it once or twice and have a poor appreciation of music, heat :-D
#18
Fair enough theres only 1 rnb song, but the rest of it is pure crap.

Its about preference though really. I prefer the old heavier muse over this new slightly more 'radio friendly' muse (i.e. more mainstream = ****)
#19
Hot from me, my favourite album of 2009.

This matches up to the brilliance of OoS for me, the 3 parter Exogenesis is one of the greatest of Muse's achievements.

Excellent price, my album of the year. Brilliant!

proper crap....please have a listen to the Bombay bicycle club...beats this crap

Please listen to more music, your taste offends me. The first half of Hot Fuss by the Killers is listenable but anything else is tedious.....muppet. Oh and please use some grammar and punctuation, how old are you? 7?
