Think I'll wait for it to be £4.99!

Great Find. If you can get to a Tesco Express they have one slot for the Muse album, priced at around 8.90ish from memory, but seem to have the single version and the DVD one in the slot. Managed to get a refund as the DVD ver is around £13 but no double the difference. Love the album as well!

Brilliant, brilliant album. Can't stop listening to it.

Very good album. United States of Eurasia reminds me of Queen at their finest. Every track is a gem.

Uprising / Resistance / US of E / Unnatural Selection are mindblowingly good, well worth buying the album for. I'm hardly a stuck up idiot lol, but Matt's talent is far superior to most.

Incidentally I think Kasabian has the album of the year so I'm hardly biased

Correct.

A lot of songs are just ruined by stupid sounding bits. Uprising and UsoE are amazing tracks.

Resistance is a good song too, just ruined by Poppy sounding bits "he could be wrong, could be wrong". I don't know what they where thinking. I think that's the problem with this album for me, it sounds way to mainstream pop/dance act music. Take Undisclosed Desires, for example. Oh dear, Oh dear.

The rest of the album suffers from the typical Muse problem, very talented music, but where exactly is it going? Pointless! Believe what everyone is saying about this album, Muse have peaked, still some good stuff though, in the era of digital you can just pick up those tracks on there own. UsoE is a free download for example.

These guys played in a tiny room in my pub in Birmingham 10 years ago (The Foundry for anyone who cares), their 2001 gig at the Academy in the same city remains one of the best I've ever seen, and I do normally hate it when when folks hark back to a bands earlier material and say the new stuff isn't as good.....

,,,but it just isn't :-(
#16
Does it need to go anywhere though? I love them for their total uniqueness and the fact that a lot don't 'get them' There's nothing to get really, it's all a bit of fun, just to tease the conspiracy theorists!

Anyhow they rock live. Did you see Teignmouth, Knights was a whole new knights, it was like a new song in itself!

Yea agreed.

I am not a huge huge huge Muse fan or anything though. But where exactly do they go from what they have already done anyway? They are a pretty unique band.

Muse live = Awesome. I think that's really how this band should be rated + judged.

UsoE is amazing, now that's a unique song. I wish Muse had got an external producer on this album, you need someone outside of the Creative Process to be able to judge it, I think the album may have been a lot better if they had.

Thanks for spotting this - better than other online sites

With Muse albums (and this is no exception) I tend to listen to them again and again for a few weeks, finding that my favourite track changes a few times, then suddenly tire of it and can't listen again.

Although the music is undoubtedly very talented, I get a bit bored of how anxious and panicky their songs sound. I wish they would just chill out and sing a song about rabbits or something. There seems to be a formula of setting up a standard chord progression, then throwing in an offnote to allow Matt to do his panicky anxiety 'oh no they are trying to control us! We need to escape!"' thing.

The first song is brilliant but the rest of the album is a non event.

My thoughts exactly on hearing that for the first time! Tis a great album :] normally takes me a few listens to get into any album, but I've loved this since the first spin!

This album is sooo overexposed and overrated. I like Muse. But I am a bit fed up with the publicity.

If by the term 'conspiracy theorists' you mean people that think outside the box and refuse to conform to the fear-based garbage that the MainStream Media puppets churn out these days, then I think you'll find that Muse are very much a part of that group.

£8.93 now.

Excellent deal!

Was anyone else slightly disappointed with this album though? The first few tracks are distinctly Muse-y, but as mentioned before, the rest lose their way. It reminded me a bit of Radiohead's more endulgic efforts.

I'm not normally a huge Muse fan, but I liked Showbiz quite a lot, and througout this album, I kept getting snippets of that sound from yester-year. I really liked this album, but it does tail off a little towards the end. It needs to be listened to a few times to really appreciate.
