Great for hols! This is the bigger one not the little keyring one.

This versatile amp-style MP3 speaker contains a premium-grade speaker unit - so your tunes come through crystal clear and loud enough to rock a party.
The three controls adjust volume, treble and bass.
With USB cable to power the speaker and an audio cable that works with most MP3 players.

Can also be powered by battery for times when you're far from a computer (or in the middle of a muddy field!).
Alternatively, connect to your PC with the audio cable and use as a computer speaker.

Specifications:

MP3 Amp uses 3 x AAA batteries (not included).

Warning: This will not work with Sansa Clips when the volume is set to loud. You have to go into the settings and change it to normal, but then it's far too quiet.

[Non-Sansa users may think this is drivel, but it does make sense :p]

Apart from that, it's a cracking speaker and more than loud enough.

Sansa Clips????

By the way - it seems to be designed primarily for running off a USB socket on a PC. Why the heck would you want to plug an mp3 player into an amp then plug it into a pc - why not play the music on your pc in the first place? Beyond me - necessity is definitely not the mother of this invention!

Sansa Clips!!!! :-D

I agree with your point regarding the near-pointless mention of PC connectivity, and they do sell it as being primarily USB powered. But running on batteries is just as good (until they run out, of course), and it is always useful to have the option. For example, it could be connected to the mains using a USB plug.

Oh, and it's 3W.
