£42.95 at ebuyer with UK & Europe maps.

You can also put TomTom on and you'll have a cheap TomTom One with Europe maps.

Get it and put TomTom on and you'll have a cheap TomTom One with Europe maps, which is better than the Start..

iGo runs better on these than TomTom

Yup put IGO8 or Tom Tom on it and it's fine. The TurboDog software is utter poo IMHO.

Go here to find some software and help on Satnavs http://www.simplesatnav.com

Not for me. iGO runs too slow and buttons are too small to be useful for touch screen (really need a stylus). I also like the screen of the TomTom better. iGO is a good navigator tho.

Nice find Tabs, a nice cheap & simple satnav. Heat added.

It might not be able to play Crysis in high definition but that's not really the point is it?

I managed to get this when cdiscount did the special egghunt last year. I've put tomtom on it and it works an absolute treat. It takes time to lock on, but the funny thing is to counteract this issue just turn it on before you go out and it eventually locks on even if your indoors! It seems to lock on to quite a few satellites even when your inside a building

bought this and fully charged it and battery lasted 90 minutes on the road. This cant be right can it?

also took 10 mins to find a satellite and 3 minutes to calculate a 2 mile journey. Tested the known journey and tried to take me on a 22 mile detour.

its going back - pile of junk!

you cant put tomtom on these new models (3218). I have one that arrived a couple of days ago but it will not accept the tomtom software on any SD Card. NAVIGATION just goes to the supplied turbodog6 SW and wont allow the SD software to get a look in.

Mines going back too as it takes forever to locate a satellite and calulated a 25 mile journey for one I know is about 9 miles.

I think you might be right I've just tried the tom tom on this and guess what.... DOESN't WORK.

The link to that website in the previous message - if you ever get a chance to go on to it and you are registered (free) try to find a guy called anewman he is the one who put up the software and maybe able to solve the problem. If i find out how to work the damn thing i'll post it up on here....

thanks but got it to work anyway after a lot of messing around.

I eventually got it to work by following the numpties guide and then adding the following two files to the SD Card root folder, the mobilenavigator folder and also into the resident flash root. Not sure which folder is correct but it now recognises and loads tomtom. Files were gpsrun.txt and shell.ini and had the following contents.

gpsrun.txt

"\SDMMC\mobilenavigator\MobileNavigator.exe"

shell.ini

\SDMMC\mobilenavigator\MobileNavigator.exe
