From the same site you can pick up a new TomTom for £75 but imho this is much better value, especially when you remove turbodog!!

The device is solid build, comes with car charger, car holder, usb cable and a 2GB SD card. The larger than usual size SD card means you don't need to invest in another SD Card although it is not that expensive nowaday.

The stock device has a navigator software and media playback capability. Like other no-brand device, you can install other branded software like TomTom or iGO on it (just google it!). I installed the GarminXT on my device in 10mins. Easy Easy.

Just load the software onto the memory card ;-)

Go here and have fun http://www.simplesatnav.com/pctforum/index.php

I installed IGO8 and TomTom with a boot manager from this forum. Now I just run IGO8 as it is very good. Turbodog is not great.

"The larger than usual size SD card" What does that mean?

I assume it means a larger capacity than normal - i.e. 2GB rather than 1GB. Catch my drift?

Yes you can run TomTom 7 and other's like Navigon and iGO 8. However, I find the TomTom runs best. iGO and Navigon really need more power (processor + RAM).

I have had quite a journey to install TomTom on mine and did not find it easy. You might find it easier to spend a little more and purchase a "real" TomTom One (not the "Start"). This will also make updates much easier.

Ah! I thought it might mean a physically larger card! All mine are normal sizes!
