No mention of speed

Bargain!

Terrible stick. Doesn't allow files over 4GB, very slow even on USB3, overheats

FAT/FAT32 won't allow files over 4Gb, so try reformatting it to NTFS, which will take care of this problem at least.

Faster than any other stick below £20... maybe Verbatim one posted earlier today is better ???

Crossbow is correct. When you format it, you need to select either NTFS or exFAT. The 4GB is a limitation all USB sticks and hard disks will encounter if they are formatted as FAT32.

Speed wise, both mine reach 60-70 MB/s write speed which is pretty good. There has been other people who say theirs are slow so I don't know if its certain USB 3.0 chipsets or its a lottery to which version of this you get. The original version was pretty slow.

The only downside to these is they are undetected on 1 of my cheap Chinese USB 3.0 card ports and it is also not detected by my Game USB 3.0 powered hub.

How on earth did I miss that... I know about the limitations on FAT/FAT32 and didn't even think to check

It's called aging :p

I'm sure I remembered stuff much better just a year ago.

All 3 of mine top out at 25MBps for read and write but they are more reliable that the faster Grixx.

I've bought two of these in the past which I use for storing and playing large .mkv (6GB+) files and I'm very pleased with the performance.

Hot :)

Went for a 64gb one instead... Thanks

with a little searching and filtering you can get three 128GB drives from the well known auction site, shipped from UK, for this price. pretty much the same slow generic stick. as mentioned great for storing and playing back films. definitely would not pay this price for one

"With a little searching and filtering" you would know that a lot of the USB sticks on a "well known auction site" have fake capacities.

Terrible advice.
These sticks aren't just generic ones like those on eBay. I've got two of them and have achieved higher write speeds than they quoted themselves. Feel quite cool even during long transfers. Certainly not the fastest but definitely one of the most reliable ones I've owned.

OK, well that item states that it is USB 2.0 not USB 3.0, and later goes on to say:

The capacity and speed of these Flash Drives can vary with a minimum of 8GB usable storage capacity and upwards, the Flash Drives may display more memory being available but errors may occur once the maximum usable capacity has been reached.

The generic ones on Ebay at the impossibly low prices are all fake.

Despite their claims of being units that have failed manufacturers testing, they are actually 8Gb, cleverly formatted to look larger.

Sorry but you are naive if talking seriously... Reddit is right - all these impossible cheap sticks on eBay are fakes with people posting posting positive fedback just after receiving item( without any proper checks)

let's say 1% of people bought them and realised they were duds, that's over a hundred 1 star reviews. I know about the fake Chinese sticks, I know about firmware hacks, I'm just saying there are a few that are okay but it takes a keen eye to spot them. I have 3 generic sticks which cost £6, are holding over 100GB each and still going strong. my point is why pay three times as much for a generic stick
