As above

Its currently on the app store for just £4.99!

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/ndrive-uk-ireland/id331883926

Think this a cracking price for a seemingly good up and coming system.

NDrive is a very good navigator and it will get you to your destination, but doesn't have TTS (doesn't say the upcoming street name). You can get iGO8 or Navigon with TTS (but they are more expensive), or buy a Nokia phone and get the sat nav for free.

I have this on mine, it does the job but roundabouts are interesting...if turning right off a roundabout it will first tell you to turn left and then 2nd or 3rd left...so unless you are looking at the screen you go off at the first exit!!!
It's clear on the screen what direction you need to take though. Certainly worth £4.99, I paid £9.99

Wasn't this £3.49 last night?

Do you have to use the internet to use the sat nav or can it just be used without connecting to the internet?
#6
Couldn't really pass this offer up at this price, first impressions are good, will use it on my lunch break. Wasn't expecting it to be that fast on my 3G but plesantly suprised!

Well worth £4.99 some how missed the deal last night but seen it for this price this am and thought I'd go for it. Well impressed very good for the price, tested it at work a few times today and was naming lanes I never knew the names for, not bothered it that don't tell you the street name that's no big deal it tells you when to turn.

If I knew the street name I was turning into I wouldn't need the sat nav.

You can get the tomtom sleeve I believe - but a bit of a waste of money TBH as you've spent as much as a decent satnav then.
#13
is there anyway i can get it to work on 2g?

It doesnt need a network connection to work at all. Once installed all the maps are stored on the iphone. As it is such a large file you need to download either via wifi oor to itunes on your pc and then transferred to the phone.
If it did need 3g to work it would be useless on O2, 3g coverage is awful everywhere I seem to go.

Thanks to OP, downloaded and excellent value.

I would also recommend Waze for free if you fancy a bit of fun while driving. Help build up maps of the UK and get real time updates from other users.

You can even ping another driver further up the road to ask what the hold-up is etc.

Roads are still limited at the moment in the UK but the more users then the better the maps get!

Cheers,
Tony

Google Navigator is apparently now free, it's built into maps when you press Directions. I used it before I got my iPhone and it was quite good :) happy exploring.

Missed the £3.49 deal. Just purchased at this price. £4.99 for a basic sat nav is excellent.

I tried this but you have to pay for the Navigation, or at least it always asks me. Its OK on normal driving around but if you plan a route somewhere it asks for payment after 30 seconds.
#24
I think regarding the 2G phones, they don't have GPS so will not work.

At this point i hope someone tells me i'm wrong (yup... I have a 2G model :( )

Exactly :)

Very poor show. Jailbreaking is fine but what you are suggesting is effectively theft, how would you like to work for free?

A great deal and for those interested you can get Western Europe for only £22.99 which is also a great price.
#29
I bought it this morning and used it to take my family out today, and it is brilliant, worth it for £4.99

I really recommended to anyone looking for a Sat Nav for iPhone
#30
Exactly. Why would anyone even bother to download a sat nav on an android? With google maps navigation on my Desire its a breeze. No doubt it will get even better soon.

A great Sat Nav. Used it for the past 2 weeks on my iphone. Better than my Tom Tom - takes more logical routes. Just hoping they add Euro maps and then I can sell my Tom Tom.
#32
Shame iphone users have to pay when Nokia and Android users can get decent sat nav software for free.

Go into iTunes 99agrant and search NDrive and click on 'ALL'. There's plenty of maps but not at this great price.

Bought this for 3.49 and I love it. It works perfectly well and it can search nearby POIs online via google and gets very good results.
I deff would recomend it if any one is considering it.
#35
I bought it for 9.99
really good app! :)
#36
For the maps alone it's a bargain.

With iPhone reception dropping out at various parts
of a journey, it's really, really useful to still have the full map on the phone.

Used it for the first time today, and it was slightly glitchy at times, but so long as you're prepared to question suspect turnings that it's suggesting, it's excellent.
#37
pls dont buy this
i am gonna ask for refund i took when it was 10 pounds
i wouldnt even pay 1 pound for this am gonna ask for refund
its very bad
tried it on a road trip to lake district
couldnt find 90% of postcodes on the databse
aslo ipone gps signal is very dodgy
had to end up following my friend around with his 3 yr old garmin gps
#38
At this price, it's worth a punt. It will be a backup for those times when I don't have the TomTom handy.

Cheers op

I've got an old (1 year old) Nokia 5800 with Nokia Maps on it which I have upgraded to the latest firmware and latest version of Nokia Maps but it still asks for payment when I try to use the Navigation. It tells me its a premium service and I have to pay £8.99 a year for it.

:-(

I got a chance to give NDrive a whirl on my 3GS yesterday.

The route it calculated was perfect but, on two occasions, when at roundabouts, the instruction given was to "turn left", but the route on the map (correctly) showed that I needed to turn right (the fourth exit). Hopefully a fix will be issued shortly for this.

Other than this hiccup, I was really impressed. The map updated really quickly (faster than my TomTom imho), and the 3GS never lost its GPS lock once.
