N95 8GB + Bluetooth Headset £40.00

Vodafone are currently offering an 18 month contract , £40 a month with unlimited txts (Actually limited but 3000 a month) and 750 mins and a free N95 8GB

Also I managed to find a code (just noticed it's listed on this site too) for a free bluetooth headset and you can go via quidco for £17.50.

Anyways, it's my first deal, so no doubt I'll have done something wrong and so I'll apologise in advance!

Sorry, but an 18 month contract for a £40 tarrif doesnt scream out "bargain" or anything of the sorts, especially on a phone that's been around for ages (albeit the new 8gb version...)

I imagine you can back that up with a cheaper deal then?

Fair enough...and I retract my previous comment. I was generalising upon the expensive and lengthy 18 month contract and in the end it's my personal opinion that may not be the same for others.

Although... I didnt claim I knew a better deal on the mobile - just that "personally", it didnt seem hot to me. Might to someone else though so fair play -- it does seem it's the best option right now for the 8gb version. Cheaper though to just get the 4GB version and just chuck on a 4GB SDHC card?

decent deal.

Apparently this 8Gb version is much quicker than the original N95. Quicker through the menus and quicker taking photos. I haven't seen it myself (I have the old one), but I have seen it in a review.

Not to mention having a bigger screen, and generally just a better looking, quicker device all round!

Won't go with Vodafone again - ever. Have had a contract for years but I've had enough of their con tricks this time.

With vodafone you will always get a better deal on the phone rather than online.

I got the original N95 a week or two after its release and managed to get a free handset on a 12 months £27pm contract with the first 6 months of that half price.

Geez your digging youself a hole with all your knowledge!

There is no 4GB version! It's the standard N95 with little internal memory or the new version which improves all the imperfections on the original and 8GB storage for music!

That is a good price - They are going for more than that on eBay at the moment in some cases.

Yup! Torn between the N95 8Gb & the LG KU990 Viewty Black though.

People need to look around at the facts on this phone.

It has a increased screen size and a better screen infact which has a harder coating to it unlike the normal n95. http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/news/images/n958gbunbox14.jpg

The ram on the phone has been increased which allows more processes to be done and not get the too many applications message or what ever it is.

Original N95 has 100odd mb memory where this has 8gb but no microsd slot which is a disadvantage seems o2 are offering a 8gb card with their normal n95's

Original is 2.6", the 8gb version is a 2.8" screen.

On top of that is a bigger battery, demand paging and twice the RAM!

Hi,

Do you know if the N95 8Gb supports the viewing of MS-Office documents, specifically MS-Excel & MS-Word?

Thanks.

Hmmm... yes... it means that all your data is stored in the handset not on a card you can easily remove..

The disadvantage with sole internal storage is that if it becomes corrupt you cannot swap it (if outside of the warranty period), and if somebody tries to remove you from your handset by force you cannot easily take the card out & keep your data secure.

Also, of course, when bigger SD cards are affordable you can upgrade to a large capacity with external card support.

Decisions... decisions...
