What is the benefit of this charger over say a Belkin unit?
Does it stop phones/tablets from being overcharged?

Got a new set at home and looking to establish best usage for these charger units.

Thanks for posting and confirming I made a good impulse buy ;-)
@Skykid. I don't know if you can charge stationery, I've never had an envelope run out of charge! :p

New Trent IMP120D 12000mAh Dual USB Ports External Battery Pack £39.98 @ Naphos and Fulfilled by Amazon.

Absolutely huge battery pack, ideal for camping or places that do not have charge ports. In comparison an average phone has roughly 2000mAh battery, so this can give 6 or more charges. Recharge input…

Is 2000mah big difference? looking to buy portable for iPhone and vita but not to get this or Anker® Astro3E also can't find any comparison

It has 1/6 less power than the New Trent - but it is a hell of a lot cheaper...and equally well reviewed.
I know where my money would go...
I have one of these and excellent highly recommended but the price is not a bargain as only paid £36.98 from Amazon in September

You pays your money you takes your choice 8)

Yours is MUCH cheaper though has no reviews. The Trent has hundreds of ratings (377 at the moment) with a 4+ average. My money is on the device with a track record.

Arcadia Rapiduo, 10W 5V/2A Dual Port high-speed USB car charger w/ Free Full Speed Micro-USB Charging Cable £6.99 Sold by Naphos and Fulfilled by Amazon.

This isn't a deal in the true sense of the word, more a review (unless you take in to account the ridiculous R.R.P. of £19.99) I've tried several different models of USB duel car chargers over a 2 or

Went on a drive today and ended up at 14% low battery warning after 1hr30. Looking at the chart in settings->battery->clicking the chart:
The charger was not charging the phone for most of the time.
The blue LED on charger was on, as I kept checking.

I'm sending this back, not sure if I have a faulty unit or cable or this is just crap or my beast of a phone just needs too much current.
I bought a charger from Asda to replace my satnav cable that has gone missing but when plugged in it makes the santav think it is connected to a computer so I can't use it whilst plugged in plus it doesn't seem to actually charge it either.

It was this one:,default,pd.html

can anyone tell me if the one posted here will do the job I need it to? Don't want to waste more money if I get the same result. Thanks for any info.
it sounds like your satnav expects the data pins shorted.
You might need to make up a usb cable with the data pins shorted. If the satnav was microusb then the cable that comes with this might work. If its miniusb (more likely) youll have to get a miniusb cable made specifically for charging or try making one yourself

Thanks for that, I will have a look into it, I have tried charging using the same cable through my pc and it does charge but again won't turn on so seems it does need a different cable for actual use. Cheers

EDIT: Found the instructions online to make your own miniUSB cable and went ahead and followed them, same result, puts it straight into sync mode and although it charges it can't be used. Looks like I have to bite the bullet and buy one.
Amazon have one that says in the description it does NOT put your device into PC mode so looks like that is the one for me.

I think mine might have a bad connection too. Didn't seem to charge much, if at all, using GPS with the provided cable on a 20min journey. Despite giving the charging (AC) message, though the cable is pretty thin.

Is one of the ports 1A and one 2.1A? It doesn't seem to say which way around they are, perhaps android need to be in the 1A port, or maybe will charge better in the 2.1A port.

I'm going to use it on a 4Hr drive on monday, so hopefully either my phone will be 100% charged at the end, or my phone will die somewhere around Oxford and I'll return this!
Thanks for the advice.
Also out of 41 Amazon reviews, ALL are 4 or 5 star. A good sign.
No out of stock.
Actually might be a bad connection, seems to be charging at 1% per minute if its wiggled and the cars not

Not bad, I have one of these. The tip is smoother and moves across the screen a bit easier than rubber tips, but you still have to press quite hard to register contact. This makes it really difficult to do finely detailed work. Good price though.
