Yep, zavvi are very cheap for most new PC games. Hot. Don't forget quidco - 3.5% - I assume this works for pre-orders too?

Why are new PC games so much cheaper than their console counterparts?

New game, similar engine, so sequel. Wiki says "Napoleon: Total War, is the newest installment in the Total War series. Much like its predecessors it is an RTS/turn based stratergy. The game is based on the Empire: Total War engine."

They also have the Napoleon: Total War - Imperial Edition for £29.95 which is the best price I've seen.

I've been crying out for Total War to do the Napoleonic Wars. Guess which battle I'll be hovering over like the Time Commanders on BBC :)

Anyone know if you pre order from Zavvi you get one of the elite bonus units? They're not down on the total war website.

You would think PC games would be more expensive due to the varying computer systems, hardware, software and drivers that can go wrong and the support they have to provide for them or you would think console games would be much cheaper than PC games.

They couldn't get away with charging £40+ on PC games as more people would pirate. Plus they have to pay Microsoft/Sony to have games on their consoles.

Oh also don't forget this is pretty much a standalone expansion coming out about a year after Empire.

Hot deal, already pre-ordered from Amazon - can't be bothered re-ordering and cancelling to save 70p or so!

Should be a good game based on previous ones, plenty of re-play value too!

Thats good but its not the right answer!

Waterloo.....like the ABBA song.

Another reason why they charge more more console games is simply because the demand is there. People (the kind who would never visit this website) are willing to pay high prices for them, so they set high prices.

Voted hot!
