why is this voted cold? seems like a good deal to me, 2 fitted tyres for 48 quid on my fiesta (ok they dont do bogof on the 32 quid ones, but may as well get the better tyres if im getting 2 for the price anyway as it still works out cheaper)

Voted cold due to they don't do bogof on my car they only do it for the smaller cars

they allways do this

its **** tyres with realy thin walls
my sister got them on her car and it was scary

also they only do it on the tiny tyres

my car they want £600 for 4

This Tyre is currently on promotion at £147.50 each

and they are only 205 45 17's

total rip off merchants

theyr oil changes are a good deal though

Well I put the wifes reg number in and it recommended 175/65/14 tyres. Way off base, not exactly confidence inspiring as the cars original spec is 185/60. Best avoided methinks if they can't even get basic figures correct.

When I entered my car reg, the tyres didn't come up, so put my own figures in. I phoned them to check if in stock, and got it fitted. Much cheaper then other shops in my area.

BOGOF only on selected Barum and Avon tyres.

Both budget brands routinely offered half price by National
http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?v=i&t=37858

Which? says its ok but not wonderful

The 155/70R13T Barum Brillantis fits various models of supermini and city car. It has very low rolling resistance but this is at the expense of grip, which is okay but is no match the best in this size.

Target price given as £31, so perhaps with free one at £31, it's ok.

If the are just jacking up the price, it's not so good.

What a ridiculous reason to vote cold! Would you vote HD-DVDs cold if you only had a blu-ray player?
Mr Doovde
Rubbish deal, its just to get you into the store, when you get there they say "sorry your tyre is not included" they should say so on the add. Charlatans!
top banana
I went in yesterday unaware of the offer.
Had to have one replacement tyre - the brillianta one only to find out later in day I had another nail in a different tyre.

I was not told at the branch of any buy 1 get 1 free offer and according to their website my tyre is on promotion. Will be phoning them tomorrow seeing if I can have the (1 free) tyre as was not told of promo??!!

If they let me I will get the other 2 changed also!!

******! oops Blast!

Always phone and confirm the price/stock before you go, don't you always do that?:whistling:

So, for the sake of arguement, if a company offered 'selected' t-shirts at £3 each and it turned out they were all XXS or XXXXXXXXL you would vote that hot then, knowing that for the majority the deal is completely useless?

Lets be honest here, tyre companies KNOW what the most popular/used tyre sizes are and deliberately leave them off the offer so they can use bait and switch tactics as soon as you arrive at the branch.

I've checked around and found it was cheapest around my area for my car.
My car us not the most popular though. I needed 2 anyway.

Out of interest what car/tyre size? I know mine will never be on 2 for 1 as I use a really odd (and overly expensive) size (195/45/16).

Tyre size 175/70/13, £65 fitted for the two. Barum Brillantis.
I needed two anyway. Don't like KwikFit, bad experience from before...

Had to vote cold on this.
I've previously used www.tyre-shopper.co.uk where you have the tyres fitted at National.
My tyre size is 185/60/R15, and it's still far cheaper with tyre-shopper than direct with national, even with national's offers and yet the tyres and fitting are at the same place!!

Example -
National
TIGAR HITRIS A/S 84H - x2 = £89 fitted
BARUM BAR BRAVURIS 84H - x2 = £117 fitted
CT PREM CONT 84H - x2 = £160 fitted
Tyre-Shopper
TIGAR HITRIS A/S 84H - x2 = £76 fitted
BARUM BAR BRAVURIS 84H - x2 = £84 fitted
CT PREM CONT 84H - x2 = £128 fitted

Mine came as same price at both places:?
But will have to wait until Wednesday to get it fitted via Tyre-shopper, while National will do it on the spot.

I think this offer is just for me! (I'll keep my mouth shut in the future)

When i had mine done through tyre-shopper i phoned them up, they phoned National, confirmed the tyre was in stock, and i had my tyres fitted within 2 hours.
Don't be put off with the booking slots, as long as the tyres are in stock you can have them fitted same day:thumbsup:

I can only quote my experience for my tyres.
If it works for you, then of course post it. If it works just for one other person then it's been worth the post.

Just to ressurect this. I took my 15 year old Escort in for its MOT this morning and all it failed on was a borderline front tyre. Didn't come as a shock but I reckon it was a bit harsh as it was just a bit of inner wear. Anyway, going back to the prices above. I tried Black Circles (as I was going to buy from them anyway) and found that as it was after 11am they couldn't get them to me within the retest time limit. One phone call to a local independant fitter got me a PAIR of Khumo KH11's for £92 FITTED. You can't even buy them off the net for that (well you can but fitting will add an extra £20-30).

So anybody in the Medway area of Kent needing cheap tyres, give RM Tyres on Medway City Estate a bell. Shameless plug for an A1 company:thumbsup:
