Terms & Conditions

1. Offer only available on National Express coaches within the UK only

2. £1 price point is subject to availability and is valid for single (one way) fares only

3. Not available for travel to/from any airports

4. Applications for the £1 fare must be made via www.mirror.co.uk/nationalexpress by Tuesday 12 August 2008.

5. Travel period is between 12 July and 30 September 2008 inclusive

6. No refunds available

7. No further discounts permitted and this offer is not available in conjunction with any other offer

8. You must travel on the timed journey you are booked on; if you want to travel at another time you will need to amend your ticket (by calling the National Express Contact Centre or visiting a National Express ticket office) before the departure time shown on your ticket. Please note that if you amend your ticket, you will be upgrading to a new fare category, so the difference between the two fares will be charged and an amendment fee will apply

9. Your ticket must be presented when traveling as a printed e-Ticket

10. Your seat is guaranteed from the location shown on your ticket, but if you wish to board at a later point, National Express will let you travel as long as there are still seats available – your seat will not be guaranteed.

11. You can get off the coach at a location earlier than the one on your ticket (with the exception of airports), providing you tell the driver when you get on, and prior to putting your luggage in the hold.

12. National Express General Conditions of Carriage apply - for conditions of carriage go to www.nationalexpress.com/conditions

13. Standard MGN Ltd Rules apply

Good deal. Most of the tickets go to London HOWEVER you are allowed to get off at a stop before. So I can book Aberdeen to London and hop off at Perth or Glasgow.

Nice

Book fast.

Strange, you might have to clear your cookies.

If you've registered on that page it will probably take you straight to the national express page.

This is what I get.

Correction:
It was running for a long time.

You can't get £1 funfare tickets directly anymore, you have to go through the Mirrors site.

it says £1 i copleate everything and it changes to £30 at check out.
#12
Might be alright for some, but not worth it for me... The only travel offered to me from my starting point (Middlesbrough) was to London, and the £1 tickets were getting you there after 9pm, so you would have to stay over.

Need to visit my Mum in London with my young daughter during School Holidays but no job at moment. Got return tickets from Glasgow for £4 in total :-D The prices were going up even as I messed about with the dates so I would get them booked soon.

I know Aberdeen is not the most desirable place but what if you might want to return?

Hrrm, it seems that the cheaper times are times that arent overly suitable for many, Bristol to London is £1 early in the morning, really late at night or just after teatime - everything else is usual price (which, to be honest is a good deal in itself though, I went to london yesterday, return coach like this cost me £20, train was over £100 even with my student discount ) Still hot if it is a suitable time for you though.

Side note, be cautious of the quoted arrival times, both yesterday got in about 30 minutes after they were suppose to

Remember though you can get off at stations in between so you can stop off at:

Middlesbrough, bus station, Cleveland Departs: 15:20
York, railway station, North Yorkshire Departs: 16:25
MILTON KEYNES, Interim Coachway, Silbury Boulevard, Campbell Park (opp The Cricket Green), Milton Keynes Departs: 19:55

I can give you my scenario: If you "have to" make a journey & are not a rich person, then thats where you can travel...
#28
Great deal. Just ordered my return trip from chester to brighton (via london) for £8!
#29
Thanks, just what I was looking for
#30
I looked into this but it is way to limited with what you can do - i.e living in Brighton I can't for example book a coach to Blackpool!??

i went on a double decker coach from london victoria to edinburgh when i was a poor student to visit an old friend ... those days they had smoking upstairs. omg my back, think it was all night and the smoking was enough to keep you awake. if i ever have to go there again i'd take the train or the plane.
