As taken from the Native Union website -

"NATIVE UNION was born out of a shared passion for good design and well-made products. Disenchanted by the nondescript, mass produced plastic that filled the mobile accessories market, John Brunner and Igor Duc set out to offer a stylish alternative for the modern individual.

By combining the finest materials, functional design, and considered details, Native Union creates products with personality, that enhance the way you live with your tech."

They're certainly not the cheapest accessories but I personally feel you get the style, functionality and quality you pay for, a true premium accessories brand. I, like most people, like to save money where I can but I always figure with your smartphone (that you've usually invested about £650+ into) why not spend a little more, plug decent cables into it and look after it?

The website has a bunch of different things on offer (mostly mirrored on their respective pages on Amazon UK) but one of my faves is the pictured NIGHT cable; 3 metres in length, durable, stylish and with a weighted ball so it doesn't slip off the table when unplugged. There's also a cool keyring charger available, amongst many other Android and Apple compatible products.

Yep, still a massive markup.

wow, can't believe they thought having a weight on the end on the cable is a good idea. while it might keep it on the table, surely having extra weight on the solder joints is a bad idea, and a big ball to contend with when using it would annoy me.

The weight is adjustable, it just slides along to where you want to have it. I bought the iPhone / iPad one from M&S for £14 last week. Any problems it will go back. Not sure how easy it would be to go back to Amazon though. TBH I'm delighted with mines so far.

I bought the NU Monocle when it was reduced on Amazon recently - more out of curiosity than anything... Anyway, it was faulty, so I posted to them on Twitter saying I was disappointed but wasn't going to bother sending it back as it only cost me a couple pounds - they replied, took my details and sent me out a new one without even asking for the dud back.

I get the impression they've took note from Anker's very attentive customer service, which is awesome.
