is it really worth paying over 40% more than the cost of the Eken T01 for this?
This seems to have the identical cpu and gpu, with a bit more ram and storage. Not really justifying a 40% price hike?
    Reliable seller though.

Eken is rubbish in comparison to NATPC - poor build quality and crap batteries as well as unreliable software implementation.

The seller has just released an HD version too, according to their storefront - same tab but with HD screen - 1024 x 600 - THAT's more like it.

Hmm, the fact the deal is sitting at -46 degrees as I type makes me think that most others are thinking the same as myself.
Eken is rubbish ? Poor build quality? Of the EIGHT Eken's Ive bought so far, Ive not had any issues at all with build quality, and as for unreliable software implementation, I have no idea what you've been smoking, but I think it aint medicinal.....

Again, its over 40% more than the Eken - nearly half as much extra, and is it really worth that much more to be a "must buy" over the Eken ?

Its actually DOUBLE the price of the almost identical tablet with half the memory and storage here http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/natpc-m009s-capacitive-lite-7-android-tablet-pc-49-99-plus-4-59-p-p-amazon-wendy-1252285 and I cant see how its worth paying double for the little extra you get.
So, as most people seem to be voting, COLD...

Agree. Nothing wrong with the Eken at £69. This appears expensive by comparison.

With people down-voting this i wonder what they would recommend , surely if you are going to down-vote you should be putting reasons why? especially with it being at -51 when i made this comment.
Seriously please suggest alternatives at this price point or in the price range.
Also i am looking for a cheap gps tablet 7" that can run the tomtom app or any other good sat-nav app. I have to replace a tomtom satnav that was stolen so getting a gps included with a tablet would give me the opportunity to test out a tablet at the same time.

I am not saying this deal is hot - just that it is a better tablet than the Eken. Get two and put them side by side and use them for a week - you will soon see what I mean.

I have had just about every Chinese tablet in recent times including the Eken M001, M002, M009S, M013S, M008, T10A and T01 and while I really liked the early versions running Android 2.1 and 2.2 - they were pioneering at that price point at the time, Eken have lost their way - they could have built on their early reputation but, instead have opted to use the cheapest components, poorest screens from whoever will make them the cheapest for them and the weakest batteries and you need custom roms to get the best out of them - this is a sad fact. They had the chance to push on but they are becoming a joke and, when their tablets used to be number one in the sales charts in Amazon, they don't even get a look in in the top 20 at all these days - for very good reason.

There are a couple of new ones coming out in the next week or two from PLOYER - MOMO8 Speed and MOMO11 Speed - they are dual core rockchip tabs with quad core graphics - look like they will be good - and if, their earlier, single core versions are anything to go by (momo8 bird and momo11 bird), they will offer great value for money
