I am sure you can give them a call to short it out if the stated price doesn't come online.
#3

#4
The excellent buy!
Actually you can put iGo and TomTom Navigator 7 on it. See http://www.gpsmodding.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1776&hilit=Navigo+V2+Menu+System

I got that smaller version last week for £45

I would not bother as never understood the advantages of seeing extra lakes aside the main arrow you need on the screen.
#9
I assumed the price in the email excluded VAT?

#11

#12
anyone got 1 for 49.99 yet?
#13
Yeh not really a deal yet is it ... it's a proposed price, but not yet ...

hmm. Not voting either way
#14
I will buy it for that price - IF it goes to that price. Whats the cheapest thing they sell to get free delivery?
#15
Is version 3 due out soon then?
#16
I have an old Medion. It will not play mp3's and navigate at the same time. Does anyone know if this Navigo or any other cheap Sat nav's can do this?
Cheers.
#17
I think you should change this to the original price, as it does not seem to be going down to £49.99

i doubt that as the vat for 49.99 will be approx £7.50.

I am sure you can give them a call to tell them that you have got it in email.
#19
The price may not be available until tomorrow.

Their latest price blast (available below) runs out at midnight tonight. I'd imagine this GPS may form part of the next campaign. If so it seems a decent price at £49.99

Aww only just bought this from the deal posted the other day!

Although come Monday i'll be packing it up and sending it back as it doesn't work :-(

Managed to install IGO8 and TomTom7 on it very easily along with a whole new menu with access to WinCE and games etc.

Though with the GPS part of the thing not working at all it was all a bit of a waste of time.. Must have been pretty unlucky as these seem to be quite popular.

I assume you did change the com port to 7 and the baud rate to 4800?
#31
@OFI, from ebuyer website:

Mapping:

* Pre installed mapping is TurboDog 5.0 which was released in Q1 2008
* Please note that to use alternate mapping, you will need to select the 'Other NMEA receiver' at a Band rate of 38400 through COM7
* The above should enable the software and the GPS receiver to communicate properly
#32
Yea the software has no problem finding the GPS receiver it just never receives a signal. (I set it all up correctly as per the instructions)

Even Turbodog doesn't work after leaving it in the front of my car window for over an hour. It sits there saying "Waiting for GPS Signal"

TomTom, TurboDog, IGO8, GPSpeedo all the same :-(

It's a very nice little thing though, i'mm looking forward to getting one which works!
#33
This is Excellent Buy, you can mod them , but its worth the investing in a Tom Tom. I had one for a 1 years, loads of strange issues. Gonna get a Tom Tom later
#34
Bought one, modded it today, seems to be working fine. Bargain!

Dont really see the point paying the extra for the widescreen version especially when this version seems to have issues with screen sensitivity (sometimes need to touch screen twice to get a response) and has a stand / window attachment which is reported as being fragile. I have gone for the 3.5" version instead for £44.99, added the case for £5.49 which brings the total to £50.48 which qualifies for free delivery. Heres the quickfind codes:

Navigo 3.5" Sat Nav V2 - UK Maps, Full Postcode Search - ALSO plays MP3 & MP4 - 146672
Sat Nav Carry Case - Fits All Tomtom. Garmin, Navman, Myguide & Navigo Units - 135505
