First time posting so please be kind :-)

eBuyer have just dropped the price of their really popular Sat Nav to £49.99 again and it comes with free delivery if you choose their SuperSaver option which usually only takes about three days in my experience!

Also there is a voucher code which takes off an additional £5.01 so only £44.98 delivered! This code is only valid on this item and until 30th June so hurry!

EDIT: Whoops forgot to add the code, it's MRNAW76N4

eBuyer have a habit of changing their prices quite suddenly, especially when demand increases best get in quick.

Voucher code now expired...
But still a great price @ £49.99

Price gone upto £54.99 now!
(Voucher code still doesnt work)

Very good deal but I'm waiting for the widescreen version to drop a little bit more. With over 2800 in stock (widescreen) they will hopefully reduce the price soon.

For those of you who do go for this deal - check the ebuyer forums for lots of advice about modifying

Great find and very flexible Sat Nav, have previously bought 2 and at this bargain price this is going to become very hot. Tom Tom 6 and Mio Maps work very well on this unit.

I have added the code but it is still coming up as 49.99. Is the code MRNAW76N4 for free delivery or the money off?

Change the delivery option to super saver - 5 days, then update basket after adding code.

Make sure there isn't a space at the end of the code when you paste it in the box (often happens when you do a straight copy/paste) as it won't recognise it otherwise

Code Expired....

worked for me, must have got in before they pulled it.
#20

Added hot, I had excellent customer service from Ebuyer.

This GPS does all ...

I had just ordered this on Sunday at the old price of £59.99 for my hols in France starting at the weekend. Just called them up and they've refunded my account with the £10 difference - excellent customer service. Mightily chuffed - thanks to the OP!

I've got an SD card primed with Miomap + Europe maps ready and waiting!

Got one of these for my dad earlier in the year when they were this price, only downside was that it's not very loud, but well worth the money.

The Turbodog software does work OK if you don't want the fuss of changing it, but obviously not as good as TT.
#24
I have the widescreen version and it is very good. Ive got MioMap 3.3 installed on it, in my opinion better than tomtom its harder to work but visually better. It took alot of p***ing about to get it installed but I dont think it is such a problem with this version for some reason. Check out the forums on ebuyer and on thepctailor. Also thepctailor to download the software. With the my widescreen I had to download from another sourcr as it is a rehashed version of the one from thpctailor.

It is amazing how they can do this product+delivery for such a price.

Well actually I do know............China that is our sin basically the more of this amazing cheap stuff we buy the more our fuel bills will go up!

Anyone know any better ones for the price ?

Looks great and great price! Never had one (SatNav) and can't even get the Sat Nav on my N95 to work,I might need to leave this until they make a unit that you simply turn on and say where you want to go and it drives you there :p

Good luck with getting Ebuyer to fix or replace the unit when it breaks. We used ours once and on the second use it wouldn't charge. I checked the in-car charger and it was outputting a correct voltage so I raised an online RMA telling them that the unit wouldn't charge.

I then received an email telling me to call them which I did. After 15 minutes on hold on an 0871 number - 10p per minute, the guy on the other end said "oh that will be the car charger" to which I said I had tested it and it was fine so it must be the unit, he said "OK we will replace the unit" So I sent it back and received an email " Dear customer, I have sourced a replacement car charger for this unit and will be returning the unit via our courier."

Just got the unit back and of course it doesn't work. What a bunch of t*ssers. I will RMA it again and if they don't sort it I guess it will be Trading Standards. I think I will stick to companies with proper customer service from now on.

They are a good price but a single 4GB SDHC card is £1 cheaper and the Navigo will read it.

Depends on what you want to do with the cards.

Tom Tom and 6 DivX movies on it so far...
Worth getting one of the white card readers from Poundland too...they work with SDHC cards.

Was thinking of putting TT on one and Miomaps on the other. Just thought if I load them both on one card (4GB) how would the Navigo switch between the two ?

I've just today put both on separate cards. Pls let us know if you can put them on the same card. I just assumed this wouldn't work.

And btw, which of the two do people rate best? and why?

Btw, I should add that we've had this for a few months and it's great although the included nav. software caused quite a few problems. It really messed up around the Trafford Centre at the weekend which finally persuaded me it was worth the effort to get TT and or Miomaps instead.

Hey u,

TT is the easiest to use, miomap / IGO8 are technically better but there are very few 3D files for it in the UK at the moment, bit harder to set up too, speed cameras are not individualised but do include all of them.

I prefer IGO/Miomap but I have used Tomtom for years now and it is just far easier to click and go.. Basically either are good. Get used to one and you wont be dissapointed.

Im sure you can get them to work if on the same card, you have to hack the unit so it boots the real windows mobile thats running in the background, then it's just a case of selecting the app from the list like on a pc..

Hi, I've never owned a sat nav, so would welcome some advise:)
I was advised to buy a TomTom (which is obviously a lot more expensive) but this one has obviously got the HEAT!!
We are going to France in the summer so was looking for European maps aswell!
How would I upgrade this satnav to do this and how much would it cost???:?

Please try to explain in non-technical terms as I'm not very ITish!!;-)
