Why would you need 5 sat navs ?
#5
Don't say it's a deal with out reading the reviews.

on WHsmiths own website there are 3 reviews and in each one of them they have all taken the unit back saying that it either crashes or doesn't charge.

Not a deal!:whistling:

On the other hand there are a lot of people who bought this unit and are happy with it.
Myself included

from the pic i'd say its version 2. these can take sdhc whereas v3 can only take sd cards i believe.
try pctailor for how to modify the software.

i got one myself last week

bit of a pain as the item gets delivered to store had to wait 5 days but well pleased when i got it

you need to buy any old 4gb card (this is the version 2 which takes many sd cards without a problem) and then you can put all the tomtom uk, europe and usa maps on it, or even the alternative igo 8 software on it

so far it works perfectly, basically a tomtom for £50!!!

google pc tailor for all the downloads and advice you need but basically anyone putting this sat nav down hasnt got a clue, value for money this is the best bit of kit around!

if this is the V2 and doesnt come with an SD card, go for the V3 from ebuyer which comes with a 1GB card.

easy to put tomtom on.

sorry my bad its v2

however alot of reviews and me personally prefer this version rather than v3 its a lot more studier and tomtom works a treat on this it was a bit slower on v3

I just saw that you can get a 4.3" screen for £60, although I'm getting confused with the versions!

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167473

This one is F&H v1 but it comes with the TurboDog 6.0 software, which is the same provided with Navigo v3. Any idea what v1 means in this model?

The NEW Sat Nav V1 (version 1)

I'd stick with the navigo as you can put tomtom software on it.

I cant imagine any satnavs NOT being touch screen

This is the version 3 as described on ebuyer for £44.99 ........"the New " means version 3 .....was looking at these last week and decided to go for the verion 2 plus for £57.49 + 2gb sd card (for the tomtom).......excellent value

even if you decide on the v3 still cheaper on ebuyer

Ah the innocence of youth. I still use a Garmin Quest for motorcycling, as it has a ~ 15 hour battery life, which makes up for the fiddly button based interface.

not a bad device this

Had problems with this. The bracket holding it on windscreen broke, took ages to arrive, customer services don't exist at this firm. I told them to delete my account because they have given me nothing but hassle, offering goods not in stock then cancelling. Got sick of them in the end.

what 'firm'?

smiths or navigo as smiths should be liable for any breakages

Purchased one of the NavGo Sat navs last year when they were available at Ebuyer.

Great Satnav with easy functions and also easy to install available software "tomtom".

On the downside, it was not long before the mains charging function decided to give up the ghost... Eventually the in car charger decided to pass away soon after. Since then I have purchased a Garmin in car charger which is built to last and does an excellent job.

Overall I am very pleased with the Sat Nav after numerous trips throughout the UK and abroad it has never let me down...

Worth a purchase...

A friend of mine has not a Bentley - it broke down - does that make them all rubbish? Perhaps he should have bought a Toyota.

I have got five of these in the family (kids all drive) and have bought many for friends at work - never had a return. Heat added.

Personally I prefer iGO8 - speaks actual name of road, shows pictures of landmark buildings, mountains/terrain, better speed camera warning (calculates average speed in average speed camera areas), doesn't require keygens, shows which lane to use and motorway signs - TomTom (for the navigo) has none of this.

iGO8 rocks and makes TomTom look VERY primative.

i bougth this from ebuyer over a year ago intending to put tomtom on it but stuck with igo. i find igo more fiddly to use, prob becuase i dont know how all the functions yet, but it gives better instructions (to my dad's tt1) especially at roundabouts

These are amazing pieces of kit.

Google PC Tailor as previously mentioned, and you are away.

Mine runs Tomtom seamlessly, although mine is the 4.3 version from Ebuyer. One of the best purchases for a long time, and also have set up speed camera alerts to try to help me get a clean licence again:p

Worth going for.

Smiths, took it back. Pity as it looked OK. Bad customer services stinks. No need for it.
