Navigon have their Mobile Navigator on sale at the moment in the app store, down £20 from the normal price. The offer runs until the end of the month and it is only slightly more expensive than the UK maps version. It is currently the best sat nav out for the iPhone. TomTom will be out soon but I'd imagine it costing more than this for their European version. Only downside is there is no Postcode search at the moment. Traffic and text to speech coming at the end of summer. Details below.

Not sure this is a deal really.

Firstly, it was this price when it first came out, then they put it up £20, to now bring it down £20 again.

Secondly, you can buy a stand alone sat nav unit with software for this price.

it takes a mass amount of memory 1.8gb to be exact on the iphone, not great for those with 8gb iphone, quite expensive,

Is this the cheapest you can get it for, then it's worth posting as a deal.
Then there is the secondary question about if it's any good.

For this version, average rating is 4 stars. Where are you finding the 3 and half star review average? I have it and it works very well as a sat nav unit. Only downside was not having postcode search. Agreed it takes up a lot of space but I think it's worth it if you want to have everything in one device (plus I've got the 32gb version with space to burn). Looking around this is cheap compared to other (not just iPhone) mobile navigation software.

if you connect via SSH onto your iPhone you can remove the countries you don't need and free up some of that wasted space
