I've reposted this completely as there was some confusion in the last post about this product. It's the first deal I've posted so sorry if I cock up.

This unit is not an old unit, it is not inferior to the F20, it is a brand new unit with 2007 maps. Confusion seems to arise as most of the F-series has been superseded by the S-series. This one however is a brand new model and it is basically an updated version of the F20 with brand new maps. It is a base model but a very good one and it will do everything you need a sat nav to do, it just doesn't have some of the 'extras'. It still has points of interest, closest fuel, closest parking etc.

Here is the spec.

* Male or female voice voice guidance
* The latest 2007 Australia mapping
* Nearest petrol or parking shortcuts
* 3.5" anti-glare touch screen
* 2 Year Warranty
* Transferable from car to car in seconds

Unit can be seen at the following (Australian, I don't think it's officially released here apart from Costco) url, including a PDF instruction manual: http://www.navman.com/Navman/Templates/productinformation____69937.aspx

Unfortunately I'm not sure when the offer ends, it currently has £30 off at £79.99 exc. vat

Cheers :) My boss is popping in to see if he can grab one for me.

It's a great price but it's difficult to tell how great until it's available elsewhere. The wording on that site you linkd to suggests to me this could even have a RRP of £99.99. It doesn't seem to have speed camera database like my N40i or maybe I'm missing the wording? Voted hot all the same as I'm absolutely made up with my N40i.

slap me if i'm just being stupid but the spec reads that it has the latest australian map. i assume this isn't the case for a uk sold version? :oops:

You can just imagine the voice directions...

G'day, sport, where ya goawing today?

Owkay, sport, take a left where that 'roo is standing.

I think it's because the only info re this machine is at that Aussie site, I'm assuming the Costco one will have UK maps.

The link to the site is an Aussie site as it isn't on the UK site yet. The spec details I posted are direct from Navman (UK).

I agree it's difficult to tell how good the price is until it is on sale elsewhere but the standard Costco price is £109.99 exc vat, £129 with VAT. I was happy enough with the spec to know that either way, for £93 it is a bargain. :thumbsup:

It is in the spec but they are called 'safety cameras'. There is a 12 month subscription free with the unit but then after that you would have to pay for updates.

D'oh! I can see it now! :oops:

One other quick point, this unit is really small and slim and I expect it might even be useful when just walking around somewhere you don't know, providing there is no one way system. :giggle:

Exactly. I'm after a sub £100 unit for my dads birthday and this fits the bill nicely. Up to date maps, simple to use, job done.
