I'd spend a little bit extra and get the F30, it's a very nice piece of kit, voted hot regardless.

What with Speed camera updates costing £50 a year it is almost as cheap to get a new GPS every year

don't forget to add the free leather case too!

Not sure what the reviews for this model are. However I bought a previous model of NAVMAN, which turned out to be the biggest waste of money ever (and it wasn't cheap at the time!):x

The customer services were appalling and could offer no solution to my problem and pretty much didn't care! The model used to get lefts and rights mixed up and loose signal and not recover. Now it barely even boots up and when it does "cannot find GPS signal" is displayed (better than doing it half way through the journey and you can print off directions from the AA website before you leave the house!).

Not critisizing this model, just to please investigate it first, I wouldnt want anyone having a similar experience to my NAVMAN one. Any reviews for it ?

I had a ICN750 Navman purchased over two years ago
( lost/left in a lorry this weekend so I may need to buy a new one soon! )
NEVER have a problem with the sat nav in any way and very impressed with Navman
in general. I also have a Snooper Truckmate S200 purchased about 2 months ago
which I have hardly used prefering my navman........
Hot for me.............

Quick question for Sat Nav & Mac users?

I've looked at the websites and updates seem to require a PC. Has anyone got a Sat Nav that can be updated with a Mac rather than using a PC or Parallels/VMWare?

I'm pretty sure that in the future they'll give SAT NAV's away but they will require activating and a subscription that will also give all of the updates.

cheapest I can find the F30 for is £92.83 - so a little more than "a bit extra"

Sorry, typo, the S30 for £84.99 and yes, I'd consider £25 a bit extra.

So 40% more is "a bit extra"

It's thinking like that which created the current Global financial situation:p

Just pointing out that something costing 40% more isn't just "a bit extra"

Try asking for a 40% pay rise 'cos it's only "a bit extra" and see where it gets you:p
#16
it's all relative to the product, you pay less, you get rubbish, that's why I get paid 40% more than other people who do the same job as me.

Really now? Try looking at jobs for SQL Server Data Architects, they range from £35k to £150k, even at it's very minimum I earn more than 40% more than minimum for the job, that's without adding bonuses, pensions, etc.

I had a mate who used to earn a fortune in IT. At a party the second he used to say after introducing himself was how much he earned. The ****.

Good for you, but here's the difference - I didn't call you a liar, if you tell me something I'll take it on faith and won't become all obnoxious as you have, I was simply providing an example to prove my point, you called me a liar and I provided an example, and all of a sudden I'm a big head? Ironic then that you find it neccesary to come back with more abuse and then say "but I earn more money than you", sorry mate but I finished primary school quite a while ago and I'm not prepared to lower myself to your juvenile level. Although, I do have 1 question, if you do earn that much why do you consider £25 a fortune?
