In Morrisons at Cardiff Bay today and saw this reduced from £49.98. There were 2 on display.

Do not know what these are like as I use a TomTom.

These were on UKHD about a year ago and I have used that image to upload. That link is at:-

I bought one of these a few months ago at Costco. For the price its great and works just fine.
It was easy to update with the latest maps via the website.
Bargain!
#2
are these any good for a first satnav ?
#3
I have two Nav mans the F10 and the Navpix - they have never let me down I would reccommend
#4
They are not quite as slick as a TomTom but they work fine and are easy to use.
I would recommend at the price.
#5
Does this one show the house numbers on the screen as you drive down the street.
#6
anyone any idea if its store specific or countrywide.
#7
Great price, I would buy one if i didnt have a tom tom.
But I think these are the ones with the robotic voice and says the name of every road that you drive past.

Is the offer nationwide ?

If it was anything like Last time this offer was in all 3 stores (both blackpool and eccles) that i went too However I didnt need one at the time. So might be a good chance of them being in your local, worth a pop down.

Seems a good price for a first Sat Nav... just not sure of I 'need' one.

Anyone know what this comes with - i.e does if have a dahsboard/window mount with it, or is that something you have to buy seperate?

EDIT - there doesn't seem to be a 'Navman M30' on their website - is it this one... http://eu.mio.com/en_gb/navman-m300.htm ...The Navman Mio M300?

If it is, the website says it should come with a windscreen mount, in car charge cable, USB cable and software DVD.

Thanks for that, I'll try my local after work. I'm sure it will be suitable for my wifes first satnav.

Having trouble locating one in essex????

Cant really go wrong at this price ...

Great first sat-nav! This is the Mio Navman M300 (marked on the unit, although it says M30 on the box!), got one last time when it was £40 and its worth every penny. Recommended it to a friend and he has the same opinion. Also lent it to the girl next door and she found it a breeze to use. Can't go wrong at this price - highly recommended!

p.s. Its a good time to get one as the maps have just been updated and you get a free update out of the box.

I have used a Navman F20 for about 7 years cant fault it.At that price nothing to lose.
#20
7 years? Must have been a lot of road changes in that time..My 4 year old navman just got me royally lost in the centre of Bradford!! Time for a new one methinks!

Called into my local Morrisons on the way home (West Denton) and they knew nothing of this Sat Nav, though they did have a Garmin one for £79.
#22
can we load tomtom into this?
#23
getknk

As far as I am aware you cannot interchange the mapping software because different systems are used.

getknk: Of course you can, but why would you? Tomtom is crap, I'd rather use iGo, or Miomaps.
Almost all satnav uses windows ce, so you can easily delete the existing navigation system, and put a new one on it. Not legal, and you also lose warranty, but honestly, who cares?

Hear hear - why is everybody so keen on Tom Tom - I've never undertsood this either?

I'm also a fan of Igo/Mio products - far superior in every way from my experience - I used Tom Tom for a month or so but was very glad to get back to Igo/Mio software.

I've just exchanged my Tomtom for a Navigon as the Navigon had European maps.

After using a Tomtom the new unit feels crap. Horrible interface, not at all intuitive, slow gps fixing and the signal isn't as strong, utterly cack window mount and even the map colours look like something smeared on the bottom of a welly.

Just called to another Morrisons at Lunchtime near work, and they also had none of these (or any Sat Navs TBH).

Guess this either wasn't nationwide, or is an older offer that has been sold out a while, except for the odd one or two left.
