Thought this was a bargain - I just bought this from Comet today for £69.99, but I've just found it at Argos for £59.99 with a free case and £5 gift voucher. It's a good little sat nav from a well known brand - You'd normally pay this price for a relatively unknown brand. Would make an ideal Christmas present.

Alternatively get this one from ebuyer for the same price (£54.95) with a 4.3" screen. The 4.3" screen give you an advantage over the 3.5" screen when you run the status bar vertical (on the side rather than bottom)

You can use TomTom or iGO8 on the ebuyer one because it runs Windows CE 5.0 (not sure if the Navman has Linux?). I bought the ebuyer satnav and I am happy with it. You need to have some computer knowledge though because the programs installation can be a bit tricky (but most people had no problems from what I read in the forums)..

Ebuyer also do a model with the same size screen as the Navman for £39.98:

personally i'd steer clear of anything "mio". Here's how it'll go - There's be no updates for a year, then you might get one that doesnt work properly, and then noting more ever after.

Awful customer service from Mio, awful software, awful support. Buy one - for someone you dont like!

Haven't Navman and Mio come together? - don't know who took over who. I've had no trouble with my NavMan and was sent a free update. Good value too.

There's always someone out there ready to knock anything. Anyone know the reality?

You would need to add £4.79 for P&P

I believe their was a time issue with this v3 if using TT software but can be corrected with a bit of knowledge/reading.

I'd get the 4.3". for the extra £10. It really makes a difference. You have the full map if you use a screen which puts all date is on the side, upright (don't choose a screen which puts the data along the top or bottom, like on the 3.5" screen).

The time issue with TT7 you get only if you use TTS (the voice tells you the name of the road you turn into). You don't have this problem with the iGO8 TTS. The iGO8 also uses Navteq maps (your choice) which are more updated than TeleAtlas (used/owned by TomTom).

I know - Navman support from the UK was excellent, however from what i believe Mio bought Navman - so i suspect the support is still crap - as per usual the big company imposes it's will on the smaller one!

Id sooner spend the extra tenner and get the TomTom from Argos....
