Sounds like old stock; a one-off.
Good find, but won't get my vote unless someone else finds one.

Sat navs allow you to avoid the trolls.
#11
Bought one last time it appeared on here.

After an awful experience when using it, took it back! AVOID!!!

Its the least user friendly sat-navs Ive used
#12
I think this is why it is so cheap... I'd spend a bit extra and get one that works well with updates etc

Rather than wasting £30 on this !

Can it be wiped and tomtom 7 installed? Like everyone used to do with the navigos and f & hs?

Pointless comment if you don't explain what makes them 'rubbish'.

Two in our house and we're very satisfied with them. Great value too.

I'm wondering this too, would be a steal if so!

Disagree, I've used a Mio Navman (not this model) dozens of times over the last year and it's worked perfectly. If you read reviews on any sat nav, Garmin Tomtom or whatever they all get mixed reviews, much of a muchness I say.

Plus this is cheaper than buying a full map update anyway! on that basis I'll give some heat.

If you've got a smartphone - iPhone or Android - why not try NavFree or skobbler... totally free.

I bought one of these for about this price last year and it does the job, not as simple as Tomtom but not unfathomable. It gets a sat fix nice and quick and the 1st time you connect it to your pc it will update to the newest map.

For £30 this is cheaper than the update for my Integrated Nissan Sat-Nav

have some heat :)

This used to be done with the help of a site called simplesatnav.com. The site has been closed, but it's still possible if you've saved the instructions and the files. There was another site but I can't remember the name.

Two in our house and we're very satisfied with them. Great value too.

Mine no longer takes you direct routes and takes you miles out of the way, no updates available and endless emails to the company ( because theres no phone number so you cant speak to any one!) and they just fob you off and mine is still under warranty!

Thank you I will phone them, as I think it is faulty, but it is probably out of warranty now! Typical!

simple sat nav closed? aww no way, it was great. Although I think it was a bit dumb actually hosting files, they should of just had guide threads and hinted at torrent names. Oh well I hacked a tomtom one, an RAC and an ebuyer cheapie. Its pretty simple. This will be able to be hacked, pretty much all satnavs are.
#30
Oh and the other best source of SAT nav hacks can be found over at http://www.ipmart-forum.com
just sign up and scroll down to the sat nav sections, a combination of that and torrents should do you fine. Annoying ads on ipmart though but hey its free.
