Have the big bro of this model. It's ok. Not flash or anything. The calculation of a route is fairly fast but for some ridiculous reason it takes about 5 minutes (not overestimating) to pick up a fixed gps signal which can be a little annoying. I compared it to a tom tom running on a fairly old PDA and the antenna must be relatively worse in the Navman as it picks up a signal much more quickly

I've had the N20 for about 12 months, its really good, never got me lost, higly recommended.

I also bought the addon T1 module about 6 months ago when Staples were selling them off for £29.99, there usually about £70, I find the T1 quite unreliable, information is from Classic FM and the signal keeps getting lost, so you cannot really rely on it, but the N20 is a great bit of kit for this price.

does this, or can this show speed camera's ( fixed and mobile unit locations) ?

Yes it does.. it comes with an up to date map (you get one free update online and you can get a years worth of updates for about £35 or 3 years of updates for the price of 2) you do need to buy the connection software as an extra though.. about £15 on ebay

I've had this for about a year and it's great.. only once has it made a mistake.. told me to turn off the M6 toll road and it cost me £4 to get back on it again

It shows fixed speed camera's, you can subscribe and update the locations for an annual fee, think its about £30, I've not subscribed, its accurate with warnings when approaching camera's.

It does not detect mobile cameras, as the locations of camera's are stored on the maps database which are downloaded by subscription (or you have pre-loaded ones), not detected by the unit.

Still, its saved me setting off a few speed camera's when alerted.

I've had the N20 for about 6 months with full EU maps, it's an OK unit, not as good as the older 510 IMO - and I've had some real funnies with it as well! i can't say I'd honeslty buy it again or reccomend it :(

I've been using this model for about a year and it's served me well. Some useful options included (like the speed camera beeps, fastest/shortest route, eta etc...) and its pretty quick at finding route. It's sometimes tried to take me down a one way street or through someone's garden but you've got to expect a few glitches with these things. Overall, a good buy. I paid £120 for it so I'd recommend it at this price. :)

Good deal, as you can reflash these (unlike the F series) and make it a PDA so can install TomTom if desired. Click here

I personally have done this, as I cannot get along with Destinator software, plus Im taking mine travelling so needed TomTom maps really.

A good unit at a good price
This just goes to show that you don't need to spend £150 or more on a sat-nav to get a decent unit, and unless your are frequently using one for work (eg deliveries or as a taxi) something like this is more than good enough for most people.

A friend of mine has this one. Take into account you can not update/hack maps on it. The only way to update maps is to pay NAVMAN. :-(

Are you thinking of the F20? I think the N20 is fully hackable

ebuyer has the F10 model for £69.99, can anyone tell me what the best choice would be between the two?
