What's the difference between the S50 and S100?

My local Morrison's still has the S50 instock for £70 and I'm unsure whether to spend the extra £20 to get this model or just use the hack the S50.

A different and faster processor. The memory goes from 64mb to 128mb and the flash storage area has increased from 512mb to 1gb....

Also the S50 used std SD cards and the S100 uses Micro SD

S50 3D...

S100...

I'm not sure if the above differences would make any practical difference whilst running the inbuilt software and if the units are hacked then I would still doubt whether iGo would performa any differently. I have ran iGo on the S50 £D and it performs just fine.

Do you know if the S50 comes with the lane guidance feature?

I never used the inbuilt software / navigation system that came with my S 50 3D as I installed i-Go. I don't think that it has lane guidance.

Doesn't do it for me I'm afraid - no European Maps! That said its a good price for the S100 so deserves heat. I recently picked up a A grade S70 off the Navmanstore.com for around £60 with Euromaps and it is excellent. Cdiscount were selling them new for £79.95 not so long ago if anyone out there is looking for a satnav with a UK & European map bundle.

68 quid in Tesco! Spotted them today...

FWIW the biggest issue that I have found with the Navman S series units is that the screen lacks contrast / vividness. When using on a normal day, not neccesarily bright and sunny, you can hardly see the screen. Compared to the My Guide units (albeit they are less featured but I'm comparing the screens) they are very poor in that respect.

Been looking at this on the net and this has features like 3D landmarks and other funky stuff, I had a Navman F40 early last year and it was ok but looked a bit boring and features were basic, I now have an S70 and its really nice but this for the price and spec looks like a bargin, I know TomTom are the market leaders but overpriced compared to the new Navmans i reckon. I'm very tempted.
