Just got one of these for £70 in-store in Morrisons. In our local store they are on a display by the exit, but weren't displayed in the main display case with the other satnavs.

Yup, had a display of these for £70 at my local Chippenham branch when I popped in on Monday. Nice deal.
#4
Can this Navman be unlocked to run TomTom and other software?
#5
Just bumping re: the tomtom software as this is one of the options for me to purchase..if anyone knows? thanks.
#6
Purchased one today at £70 from my local Morrisons. Hacked it to run TomTom 7 and iGO 8 ;)
#7
Confirmed, Harrogate store

That one isn't widescreen. The widescreen one is £59.99 but the Navman is much better quality build.

#14
can you get maps of europe for this ???
or does anyone know ehere i can ... aquire ..europe maps for co pilot
#15
I have seen it yesterday in Reading. Was going to post it but forgot the name of satnav. Used to be over £120
#16
I had one of these until I sold it and got a Tom Tom, so happy I did. Not that bad a sat nav as long as you don't want to add customized voices, over priced maps etc. And the navman software is very poor.
I don't think you can modify it to run the Tom Tom software, I actually found there is very little you could do with it at all.
Have a look on the Total PDA web site for some good Tom Tom price's but not alway's alot in stock as there so cheap!

Agree if you are going to use pirate version of TomTom or iGo otherwise it will be more than £70.

£60 something in Sainsburys.

If you want Europe maps you need the S70.
#19
vegeta, how did you get tom tom to work on this? and does it work on the s70?

Too bad because this is what mine looks like :whistling:

As for others, the clue to unlock the Navman is in the title ;-)

When unlocking is it needed to do this via the SD card or the flash disk - might be a silly question but I'm a little worried about stuffing it up..!!!
#25
Just got my wife to go and get me one  Is it easy to unlock and which applications are the best??
#26
£70.84 + 8% quidco in littlewood when using £30 off code:thumbsup:

Actually it is quite easy on this one at least, I'm really not very techy and I did it after an hours tinkering. You just download the relevent software to a new sd card, alter one line of text in the settings file and Roberto is your Dad's brother!

If you need a real step by step let me know I'll be happy to help out.

Damn hotukdeals, i bagged one from the Failsworth one, about 3 left there when i went. I probabily won't bother converting as it seems really good as it is. I've already taken y contacts from my phone. SLightly annoyed that while on the phone the directions etc stop, still good for saying i'll ring back and for dire emergencies i suppose!
#29
I got one of these yesterday after humming and aahhhing for ages, lol! It's for fathers day but looks cool on the box :)
#30
Bought a stylus for mine and using it as a PDA device :-D

MioPocket rocks!
#31
I'm sure these were £50 quid a few months ago...I remember looking at the 3D thing and wondering if it was worth replacing my trusty F20.

*edit* May have been the S30.
#32
does this come with everything to fix to windscreen etc?

also, does it have a protective case?

:)

Yes & Yes.

Just bought this and I think it is ok. However from my initial feelings the tomtom one appears to be a much better device for the same money and almost certainly worth the extra if you can afford it. Things noticed so far the audio distorts at volumes not reaching tomtoms maximum which is disappointing. Build quality not as good. And while it doesn't seem important I use to find the advanced planning feature very usefull which does not appear to be available here.
However the wide screen really appears to be useful and looks nice and this device connects with my windows mobile phone which tomtom refused to do so a plus point there!
I will give a proper road test tomorrow I guess if I don't like it I think this unit will develop a fault and swiftly go back!

Oh I guess I read protective case to mean the soft pouch lol!

Anyone else find this satnav picks rather interesting 'scenic' routes? I have everything set to prefer motorways and quickest route but my navman insists on leaving a34 onto minor roads to get to my destination which I know is much slower! Autoroute / Google tomtom gets it right why can't the navman?!

If people are unsure about this deal I personally think it is just about worth £70. I wouldn't pay £100 for it!

Any help anybody can offer getting MIOPocket to work on this would be really appreciated.

Thanks
