Saw this on clearance at my local Currys (Solihull) and probably same price in any Currys (any DSG?) subject to stock as it has now been replaced by 2009 models.

I paid £129 for mine last year and still think it was a good buy. Large (4.3") touchscreen, accurate, easy to use, includes Bluetooth (phone hands-free) and 'safety' camera database.

No longer shows on Currys' website so link is to NavMan site for spec details, etc.

Hope it helps someone!

My dad bought one of these from Tesco the other week (not sure how much he paid), but this is an excellent price

I think they are around £80 at Tesco, but may be easier to get as the Currys clearance has been on for a while now.

Wasn't this deal made hot a month ago? I am pretty sure it was as I saw it and went looking for the units in my local Curry's. The display shelves had already been stripped bare of satnavs. Did Curry's dig extra stock out of the back or something?

I have the S80D, bought if from Costco last year when they had it on offer.

Can't say I'm overwhelmed by it, it does its job to a fashion

The model I have is supposed to have Traffic thingymajig - dont think I've used this function though. Anyone able to give/link a dummies guide?

Also, how do I update the maps?

I have this model and have used it in France over the Summer, as well as throughout the UK and Ireland- It is Top Notch. Easy to use, easy to follow, and spot on.

Just a tip for any-one who buys this, set the route option in preference menu to 50-50 between fastest and shortest route, it will then take the local shortcuts and generally work out the most logical route..........

The distance to go and estimated time of arrival are really useful features on this.

Worth checking if it has the most recent maps -I got a free upgrade to the 2009 maps, but to be honest even if it has the older maps this is still a cracking deal. I have used Tom Tom and Garmin in the past but in my opinion Navman is the best by far, and the S70 3D is a super piece of kit.

Posted a month ago, just gone hot. Suspect there may be zero stock out there now.

Hmm personally I have been disappointed with my S503d as advertised here some time ago. Maps are quite old with a number of petrol stations apparently near me that haven't existed for 3 years! Also, my S50 does NOT know the difference between A road B roads and country tracks! Very annoying and sometimes no matter what preferences you set it does not pick an obviously quicker route!

Other issues are the speed is a fair bit out and sometimes it doesn't warn you of speed cameras other times you are passing the camera before it tells you!

Audio is very poor compared to tomtom it might be ok but tomtom is like night and day with much louder volume and no distortion. This thing distorts above about 80% (tops) and is too quiet below this level so you have to put up with it if you have a window slightly open.

Christ you should see the route this thing takes you between Stockport and Macclesfield. I am baffled as to why a sat nav would choose this route no other nav software does (inc tomtom one) and you certainly wouldn't choose it looking at an a-z! That just about sums these units up I think!

Nice screen though :)

Your S50 experience is seriously at odds with that of users of S70 and S80 on here. Maybe more difference than just screen size?

Think I'll just set mine to avoid Stockport and Macclesfield. Surely no one chooses to go there!

S80 has Europe mapping - S70 is UK & Ireland only.
