Ok here it goes....

Axa Sun Life have a scheme called the over 50s plan.

When you join you can opt in for a free welcome gift at the minute they are offering a Navman F10 Sat Nav system.

The minimum you can pay into the scheme each month is £6.

The time line is as follows:

Join Scheme on given date (sun life pay your first month contribution)
A month later, direct debit of £6 is taken
within 28 days your Sat Nav is delivered.

With any luck the sat nav is delivered before the 2nd direct debit is taken giving you time to leave the scheme.

You can cancel the scheme at anytime "you lose all money you pay in" but you will off paid £6 and got a sat nav.

It is for the over 50s but i just changed my year of birth no questions asked.

I joined on the 12th of Nov and have just received my Navman F10 Sat Nav system worth £100

Just ordered it legally as I was born 01.09.1957. One of the very few advantages of being 50!!!!!!!!
Anyone wan't a satnav? £50 or nearest offer.
Only joking. It is all mine. I'll need it when the dementia sets in!

"Join Scheme on given date (sun life pay your first month contribution)"

Where does it say that Sun Life pay your 1st months contribution?
Cheers

I've got one of these, there great. Especially the points interest programme. You can find local prisons, borstals, young offenders centres, courts etc no problem:roll:

Not a bad offer at all... I signed up in October for minimum premium £6.00 per month) and was only 50 on Dec 30th (all declared on proposal) Policy started 26th October with free premium, my first payment 26th November, Navman F10 arrived about 10th December.. I'll cancel premiums before next payment... Navman F10 is pretty basic, but up to date maps...

Isn't my gran lucky - I just bought her a policy ..... nothing to do with me wanting the SatNav :)

You choose your free gift *after* entering your bank details - it's one of the last things you do.

#29
we all like a bargain, but not like this..............

Gone for this. But the gift maybe substituted. Here is what it says:

"Your welcome gift
Gift: Satellite Navigation System
Your welcome gift will be dispatched one month after we have received your first full premium. Please allow 28 days for
delivery. Gifts are subject to availability. If the gift of your choice is not available an alternative will be offered."
#31
seems to not be a Navman system now anyway going by the picture on their website. My guess is they substituted a cheaper one...
#32
just received my sat nav and checked the price online and its coming up as £125 not bad for £6 initial payment voted hot
#33
Just got mine too, its the ViaMichelin X960 New Edition.
Anyone know the procedure to cancel?

My first £6 payment came off last week, no sign of my satnav. However, a couple of weeks ago I was asked to send documents to prove my identity, I have not sent them yet. Anyone received their satnav without already returning the proof of identity documents?

Were you asked for any documents? Also how is it delivered, Royal Mail or a courier company? Just checked my bank statement and the first £6 was taken on February 11th, some 15 days ago.

to be honest did'nt even bother opening the letter off them ` so dont know if they wanted any,my sat nav arrived by courier paid first installment on the 7th feb and it arrived on the 22nd so just over 2 weeks so yours shouls arrive pretty soon hopefully:thumbsup:
#39
got my sat nav today (viamichelin instead of navman but i'm not complaining! box shows that it has speed camera location too).

my direct debit was paid on the 10th feb for anybody waiting for theirs. i was getting a little worried as the second payment drew closer. just cancelled direct debit via bank website. i imagine that should be sufficient. axa ask that a copy of the dd cancellation letter to your bank be forwarded to them too, but i didn't write a letter so can't! lol

well worth £6 and a couple weeks wait.

wellfan - i wasn't asked for any id so can't help you sorry.

My first installment was taken on the 6th Feb but still no sign of any Sat Nav. I was also sent a letter to verify my details which I haven't done yet.
