Much like my Latitude post of last week, this isnt core2duo but is a PM cpu. It looks to me like it has a really nice range of features for the person not needing the latest and greatest.

Thin & light (easy to carry all day)
Large 14" widescreen TFT screen
Comprehensive embedded security - Fingerprint, Stoptrack and Webtrack
Managed antivirus solution
Unique design with special anti theft badge
In the NEC NNAB2000101 P-M740, DVDRW, WLAN box:
NEC Generation laptop, NEC Generation backpack, Plug + Power supply unit, Quick-start explanation sheet, Warranty registration pack, Software: Firefox, Mozilla, Open Office, Oxygen Cubed (3 years theft insurance, stop track label, and web tracking tool), GIMP (graphics package), Security pack to register Mc Afee Antivirus.

For £394.88 you can have this with 2x512Meg of ram too.
[First post!] This deal looks ideal for me - I was thinking of going for a Dell Inspiron 1501 but missed out on all the offers last month. I'm not familiar with the retailing company though - has anyone here used think4 before? Any comments on NEC laptops compared to Dell's? The anti-theft insurance mentioned in the review sounds useful.

Any help would be much appreciated!

It will 'run' vista but firstly it has the Basic version installed so no Aero 3D desktop to power and the 512MB Ram is below the recommended RAM to run vista so it may be a tad slow.
