remember you're signing up to receive a case every 3 months....
#2
good price - but how much do you have to spend after that?
#3
You don't have to receive any of their quaterly recomendations and you can cancel at anytime without obligation

This deal is likely to be provided by Laithwaites. You can find similar deals on the actual Laithwaite site. I suppose you just get more choice there. There is a Spanish, Italian, and Australian selection amongst others. I've had Laithwaites win before and they are very good. Sooo much better than Virgin wines! Hot deal.

These club deals are a real pain, you have to cancel each quarterly case or you get an over priced case on your doorstep. These offers are also 10 a penny with Laithaites (which this probably is).

Sorry but cold for me.
#6
Yeah real pain doing one quick email to cancel any subsequent cases.
#7
Do you have to email each quarter, or just cancel the account?
#8
From the site:
"Remember, there's no commitment to any further purchase. You can even skip cases or cancel whenever you wish."

the corkscrew you get with this is amaing as well.

The free corkscrew isn't that great.

I bought the exact same one for £10 from TJ Hughes several years ago. It has since broken.

These types of corkscrew are great however, but they are everywhere nowadays.

Woolies had them for a fiver not so long ago.

Done this type of offer many times, Virgin, Laithwaites etc. Each bottle is covered by a money back guarantee. If you dont like it, they will refund you upto one bottle of that type. So you can happily sample a bottle of each with friends perhaps, tell them you didn't like them (if you really dont of course) and they will collect the unopened remainder. By using this method I have found out that I exclusively like Pinot Grigio. They even picked up the remaining 6 unopened bottles and replaced them with 12 bottles of the Pinot Grigio I found I really liked for no extra charge 'Campanula Pinot Grigio 2006'. They really do go the extra mile for customer care and satisfaction, and you have nothing to loose by giving them a try.

Why not just go to Asda and use the 3 bottles for a tenner offer. you could have 12 proven good quality wines for thirty pound. I like my wine and have had some dodgy case offers which is why I get the supermarket deals when on offer.:?

I've been using Laithwaites for years now and never had a 'bad' bottle from t hem. I've had ones that I'm not a fan of, but nothing that was badly made. Unlike Virgin where I've never had a 'good' bottle - they really do pump out cheap **** at their lower price range.

As for the four seasons tie-in, you can actually have one on laithwaites and one on Virgin wine at the same time (and the sunday times wine club too I guess), and cancel them all. Usually works out 3-4 quid per bottle delivered. Don't see the point in buying meths from Asda with those prices.

would be a fantastic offer, if was possible to use nectar points as tesco deals here, 1:4

Brandson's con 40 quid offers on everything you opened eventuallly made me try it - and this has put me off wine clubs for life.
#17
all sounds decent to me. can i simply order this deal and then cancel altogether? if this is the case what have i- or anyone- to lose?
#18
i have just joined this wine club and the wine was delivered yesterday. There is a form which details the next case (price is £70 + £7 postage) and if you dont want the case then you have to post the form back (or phone a number).
The cork screw looks quite decent but it isnt worth £50 (i bought a similar one a year ago for about £12)
