Probably cos they dont have a PC, console noobs

Nice one, but for a change I am gonna get this on the Xbox, as I have the force feedback wheel for that, and not for my PC :( - good deal, heat left.
#5
Great game!
A lot harder to use on PC though, got it for a tenner off ebay got xbox
#6
I don't think a steering wheel works on this game

Not if you got decent joypad.
#8
PC version is inferior by quite a bit, even missing some graphical effects.

I've heard this too. It's unfortunate, this would have been a great deal otherwise. :(
#10
PC versions are a bit iffy for DLC sometimes so just be aware of that.

You will get better enjoyment by using a pad, the wheels are best left to simiulation type games.

I thought they had patched the weather effects?
Plus it easily runs at 60fps/1080p+ on modest hardware, a drastic improvement over the console versions (30/720). I don't recommend playing it with a wheel.

The biggest problem will be the lack of online community and the fact the game sucks :p
#13
Awesome game, well worth the tenner!

i have an AMD x2 6000+ & Nvidia GTX 275. is it worth upgrading the CPU or the GPU for gaming?
I also have 8GB ram & windows 7 64 bit
#15
..... just buy an Xbox, its cheaper ;)

went through 5. so no more xbox for me. Especially the loud fan noise. Thats why I sold my fat PS3 & replaced with a slim one now. no problems from he PS3 or the PC. PC only gave problem but that was a cheapo PSU blowing & resolved by a corsair TX650 :)

Only 30fps, you sure? Have it for xbox and at first I thought something was wrong, and after playing Forza and going back to NFS it does seem like the frames are too low.

It's 30fps locked on PS3 and 360. http://www.lensoftruth.com/?p=24458
Perfectly fine if you are used to it, but in reality it's like playing in slow motion.

Not a very good game IMO, PC graphics horrible.

Voted hot all the same.

Have you seen Crysis on the PC? Or infact NFSHP?

Far better than anything the consoles can chug out. Want the final knockout?

PCs: DirectX11
Consoles: Locked (at the moment atleast) at DirectX9

Good deal OP, have some heat. :D

I actually own both those games, and am running an Intel Core i7 with 6GB DDR3 RAM and an ATI Radeon HD 5770.

The environments & car details are okay but the anti aliasing is non existent. I turn on AA and it doesn't give me any option to control it 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x etc. Thus the whole environment is ruined by the lack of AA.

I used to own an Xbox 360 and the AA there was pretty good though I'll admit the textures res is bad and all.

EDIT: Scratch that, there is actually no AA option. There's just on level of Antistropic Filtering.

And yes, I am a PC gamer. Just saying that NFS Shift has much better graphics than NFSHP and came out earlier. And DiRT2 has superior graphics (Perhaps NFSHP isn't fully Direct X 10 supported like DiRt 2 is?) I would take a DiRT2 and NFS hybrid any day.

If I was to try and import my own 3D models into this would it have to go through ZModeler like older NFS's?
#24
Unfortunately the PC version is just a lazy console port, but with graphic that look more PS2/Xbox then PS3 or Xbox 360. At a tenner it's just about worth a buy to waste a few hours on.

Remindes me of the Amiga/Atari ST era, when us Amiga user (now PC users), had to suffer countless inferior lazy Atari ST (todays console user) ports.

The PC version is a lazy port that looks ugly.
Just because a PC has DX11 doesnt mean the game will look better if its made badly.

Great price voted hot.
Got this for PS3 and completed it though so not making a purchase but can see that this is a great deal :)
#30
Bought when it was £12.99, bargain at this price.
PC version looks great on mine (overclocked) 3.4 gig Core2Duo with Radeon 5850. Much better than console version.

If only this was for PS3.....:(
#32
Just a copy of Burnout Paradise. Good deal for a new game but it's hardly worth it tbh.
#33
I love this game on PS3 and kept on meaning to get it for PC as well to record stuff using fraps etc.

Oh my god, you can see it perfectly there.

The jagged edges ruin the entire thing. Look at it! Look at the PC version. Edges so sharp they cut my eyes when I see them. They ruin the entire thing.
