As tiltle.

Need for Speed SHIFT is an all-new simulation racing IP that combines the true drivers experience with real-world physics, pixel-perfect car models, and a wide range of authentic race tracks.

Need for Speed SHIFT takes players in a different direction to create a simulation experience that replicates the true feeling of driving high-end performance cars. Players are thrust into the loud, visceral, intense, athletic experience of racing a car on the edge of control from the drivers perspective through the combination of perception based G-forces, the hyper reality of the cockpit view, and the brutal experience of a first person crash dynamic.

Need for Speed SHIFT features an accurate, accessible physics-based driving model that allows you to feel every impact, every change of track surface and every last bit of grip as you push yourself to the edge.

True Drivers Experience A variety of visual cues delivers the true drivers experience including a three-dimensional HUD that mimics driver head movement, inertia and G-forces. The depth of field also adjusts based on the speed of the car; so when the car is travelling at high speeds the perspective will shift to the distance putting the car/cockpit out of focus.
Enhanced AI A sophisticated AI system will mean that your races are more exciting than ever before. AI opponents will react and perform based on the players aggression and overall driving skill thus creating race experiences for all skill sets.
Dynamic Crash Effect - When the player hits a static object or opponent car, the player will feel like they are 'taking damage'. A combination of visual and audio effects will leave the player disorientated and briefly disrupt the race.
Total Customisation Need for Speed SHIFT features a comprehensive customization option that lets the player tailor every aspect of the cars performance and styling. Go under the hood to upgrade and tune your vehicle to increase its performance. The visual customization system allows players to personalize both the exterior and trick out the interior to reflect their individual style and preferences.
Photo Real Cars and Tracks Nearly 70 licensed cars are available including the Pagani Zonda F, Audi RS4, and Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. There is also over 15 real-world locations like Willow Springs and Laguna Seca as well as fictional circuits like downtown London and Tokyo.
Additional gameplay features including career mode to be unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June 2009.

do not buy this game

i got mine friday and im an old hand at games and this is utterly awful

very pretty and scenic

but they have messed up the controlls and you need to spend 25 mins just to get the cars to handle badly

best description is like going round a corner on a plank of wood on a cobbled frozen street

its so bouncy and out of controll at 50mph round a corner the back end goes every time

save you money for GT5 or get dirt of get forza 3 on the 360

this is utter rubbish

+1

Either going to trade mine in for Dirt2 (which I have borrowed and is 10 times better) or Forza 3.

It's hard to describe but as above the handling is just awful, plus so many other litle niggles. It feels like a beta release.

Don't agree with the criticism of the game to be honest. Although I am playing the PC game so don't know if it's any different to the consoles. The handling takes some getting used to but after a while it becomes easier. I'm a big racing games fan, I've played virtually everyone ever made as well.

I was pleasantly suprised by this game, lots to do, gorgeous graphics, top sounds and lots of replayability. This is much better than DIRT2 in my opinion as well, whereas everyone seems to rant and rave about that, I think it's pure arcade crap.

What do you mean by bad reviews? Do you mean the comments here?

For real reviews look here http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/needforspeedshift

Scores constantly in the 89s and 90s, doesn't sound like a bad game to me.

Well at least til March now aas that is when it is out in Japan. You can bet we won't get it til a few months after either.

Ah well at least I'll have Forza 3 to play til then

thing that makes the game unplayable is the fact if your in a fast car like a lambo and you are on the double chicane at laguna the car cant go around it or the 1st bend at brands hatch the car is bouncing all over the place

try the ring in a 200mph car and you will end up taking off, spinning and meanwhile every computer car will leave you standing as they dont vibrate and bounce all over the track

shame as visually its lovely

This game is really only good for the PC, especially with the G25 steering wheel. So far I have tried both and the PC version beat the PS3 one easily. Not worth paying more than £20 for this game.

seems very expensive for a very tired format

GT5 is March 2010. Who even cares about this game anymore?

Fanboys of the 360 are even admitting that Forza 3 is not going to be good. The demo shows how mundane it is.

NFS Shift is the best racing game. You have to adjust your controller settings, not 'learn' how to drive badly. What a stupid thing to do.

Totally agree, Forza 3 will be amazing. I'll wait as long as it takes for GT5, at least we have Forza 3 to keep us more than entertained in the meantime.
