Indeed!

I didn't like the demo at first (using a pad) played it again after buying a G27, and wow!

Totally different experience, love it!

Cheers OP, reserved at my local, picking it up tomorrow.

A turning device ..

It's a Logitech steering wheel:

I thought this was a superb game that's generally underrated, I'm not normally a fan of cockpit views but the implementation in Shift is the best I've seen. The camera moves around to give a feel for the car's movement as the car accelerates, jumps though the gears or under braking and when you crash it blurs our, you lose colour and sound to a certain degree depending on how bad the crash is. It sounds like a gimmick but I found it worked extremely well to portray the savage energy of a powerful race car. The AI is also extremely good in that it simulates other human players - other cars have no problem ramming you when they want by and they'll frequently make mistakes themselves which means you have to be very careful out-braking them as you can find yourself in a gravel pit alongside them.

That's a shame, it's probably my favourite driving game since PGR2.
Bought it at launch and immediately turned off the rewind feature as it makes you complacent. Once you know the courses and concentrate it's easy to move up the difficulty levels.

Used to spend hours on XBox Live and at one stage I was in the top 1000 drivers worldwide.
I recently bought the game for the PC and started playing with a wheel instead of a pad and found it very difficult but I think my lap times have actually improved with practice.

I wish there were more cars, courses and tuning but I keep going back to it. Playing at 1080p, 60fps on the PC makes a big difference though.
(I almost forgot this was a NFS: Shift deal lol, not a fan)

I have just reported it, I just got back from getting it, marked up at £24.97 on the shelf but I had reserved it for £9.97 online so all good! This was the store in Norwich riverside, it says none in stock online now but they had at least one more when I left!

Hey mate if you've got good at it then that's great. I imagine it's a very rewarding game if you have the patience. I played the download, found it very hard, but I went ahead and bought it anyway. I gave it a couple of hours, and found I was getting no better. So really it was my own fault, but a shame nonetheless. It does look amazing though.

Sorry for thread-hijacking btw.
