Part of the pre owned deal of the week. I expect this will get very cold as people tend to hate pre owned games instinctively, but its still the best price around and you DO have the right to dispute the game disc you receive when purchasing it so that you can get one in pristine condition. Ive done it a few times as the staff generally try to get rid of the poor condition ones first.

They also had others in the deal:

Darksiders - Both consoles £24.95
Race Driver GRID - Both consoles £9.95

As far as I know yep, 6 month guarentee on all pre-owned items.

Computer exchange is good is this respect the poorer condition games cost less. In-store anyway.

Great price - really really enjoying this game!

Paid full price for mine and was still happy, really good game

To be fair I bought Half Life - Orange box pre owned at blockbusters recently, when I got it home it would not work, on looking at the disc it was pretty scratched so took it back and got a pristine one no questions asked.....

Depends what format you get them on really. From experience all the ps3 games I've bought there are in mint condition where as the xbox games have initially been in much worse condition initially.

Yeah, that's weird that. Badly scratched PS3 disks, even pre-owned, are a rarity.

From the games I've played on Live, Im guessing a lot more 10 year olds own xbox 360s these days, so I'd put down that as the main reason. I swear to god half of the xbox cases i see have bite marks in them when I look at the pre owned section.

"TDK has successfully developed a new hard-coating technology that makes Blu-ray Discs even more resistant to scratches and fingerprints than existing DVDs"

"In January 2005, Sony announced that they had developed a hard coating polymer for Blu-ray Discs."

DVD's are last gen.

guy above has nailed it on the head, blurays are proven more scratch resistant than normal discs...

i wouldnt go scratching one of my games purposefully just to test it out but i bought a preowned copy of gta4 from game just to avoid the hideous platinum cover and the receipt from the original sale was in the box,it was a day one purchase and even now 2 years later the disc is immaculate.

Had no idea about that. Its laughable really that Microsoft are saying the 360 will live for at least another 5 years... by which time blu ray capacity will be huge and DVDs will be near extinct.

GRID is the much better game for the cheaper price.

Nice one. Was waiting for this to come down. Got 1 from the Abbey Lane (Near McDs) Blockbuster in Leicester. Was 2 more copies (that I saw) there if anyone wants one.
#18
Cheers OP just picked up the last copy xbox 360 from Blockbusters BOD Aberdeen.

Was on the shelf marked this weeks special with two other copy's one 360 and one PS3 although they were marked £25 :?

The console dont help sometimes, remember when there was a report the xbox360 would scratch the disks.

Naah, GRID is great, but a very different racer. Shift is a nice balance of realworld and arcadey physics, GRID's are just plain action movie physics, fun but totally unrealistic.

Couldnt agree more! Other night I played the two in the same evening - when going back to shift I failed on the first corner:-D
