Just dont! Awful.

The end result, however, is a game that has practically zero redeeming qualities. It fails on almost every front and is a major step backwards not only for the franchise, but racing games in general. With Burnout Paradise having been out forever (and supported incredibly well by Criterion) and Midnight Club: Los Angeles having just shipped recently, the competition is very strong, leaving no reason whatsoever to choose Undercover over either of the aforementioned titles.
Yeah, I heard it was meant to be juddery.

Full of bugs apparently.

Need For Speed: Undercover 360

Review by Roger Hargreaves – As one of EA's last games to be released this year, this is a very unfortunate bookend to what has been, from a creative point of view at least, a milestone 12 months.

What's odd is that this isn't a relic of its lazy production line days, but a genuine attempt to return Need For Speed to its higher quality roots.

Unfortunately, it fails completely.

Most Wanted is generally considered the most popular of the modern day Need For Speed games and this is clearly intended to be a spiritual sequel.

The story has you playing as an undercover cop infiltrating a bunch of street-racing smugglers.

The cheesy live action cut scenes are meant to make up for the derivative plot but they're nowhere near as entertaining as Red Alert 3.

Whether you're meant to be undercover or not the game uses exactly the same structure as all street racers, as you start with a rickety old banger and slowly gain better and better rides by winning races and earning money.

It's a mystery why the last few games removed the danger of being chased by police but thankfully that element is reintroduced here.

If only the actual racing was fun.

Although clearly this is meant to be an arcade racer rather than a simulation the handling is absolutely dreadful.

It feels like you're controlling a shopping trolley rather than a high performance car and, given the unpredictable handling, one that's been haunting the bottom of a river bed.

Luckily (or not) most races are so insultingly easy though it doesn't really matter how the cars drive.

Not only are the graphics under-detailed and blandly designed but the frame rate is unforgivably low and there's some terrible pop-up problems.

The online mode is the only aspect that doesn't disgrace itself, although it's still greatly inferior to obvious rivals such as Midnight Club: L.A.

Compared to Most Wanted this is a joke, compared to EA's own Burnout Paradise it feels more like industrial sabotage.

IN SHORT: EA's transformation hits a speed bump, with the worst Need For Speed game this generation.

PROS: It's good to have the police chases back and some might find the cheesy cut scenes amusing.

CONS: Absolutely atrocious graphics and handling would make the game almost unplayable if it weren't so easy.

SCORE: 3/10 Out: Now (UK)
Ouch, not looking good for getting much heat then

heat should be based on price of which this is good.

You say that but it's just dropped 9 degrees.
